Want to take ownership of marketing rather than just execute someone else's plan?
GCL B2B is looking for an ambitious B2B Marketing Manager to take ownership of our internal marketing and help drive the next stage of our growth.
We're looking for someone who makes things happen. Someone who can take an idea, turn it into a plan and drive it through to completion. Someone who's comfortable working autonomously, solving problems and bringing new ideas to the table - but equally enjoys working closely with Sales, Operations and the wider business. You might already be a Marketing Manager looking for more ownership, or a strong Marketing Executive ready to make the step up.
What you'll own
Working directly with our Managing Director and alongside our existing marketing resource, you'll take responsibility for moving GCL's marketing forward, including:
- Developing and executing our B2B marketing plan
- Creating campaigns that generate engagement, opportunities and sales pipeline
- Website conversion optimisation
- Email marketing, nurture campaigns and marketing automation
- Content, case studies, thought leadership and social media
- LinkedIn, Facebook and Google paid campaigns
- Events, exhibitions and webinars
- Marketing analytics and performance reporting
- Sales enablement and campaign support
- Exploring how AI, automation and new technology can improve our marketing

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This is a hands-on role. You'll have support, ideas and input from across the business, but we'll expect you to take ownership and get things delivered in conjunction with the existing marketing resource.
Who we're looking for
B2B marketing experience is essential. Marketing agency experience would be a real advantage. Beyond experience, we're looking for someone who is:
- Ambitious and self-motivated - you don't need someone constantly setting your next task
- Commercially minded - you understand marketing ultimately needs to contribute to pipeline and revenue
- Organised and methodical - you can manage multiple projects and see them through
- A problem solver - when something isn't working, you find a way forward
- Tech confident - you're comfortable learning new platforms, AI tools and automation
- A strong B2B communicator - particularly when it comes to content and messaging
- Data driven - you want to know what's working and what isn't
- Collaborative - you're happy getting input from others without needing a committee to get something done
