Are you an experienced marketer looking for a role where you can take real ownership, shape strategy and see the impact of your work?
We’re recruiting a Marketing Manager to join a leading professional membership organisation with 6,500 members across England and Wales. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to lead campaigns, grow membership, develop digital marketing, manage a high-profile awards programme and build valuable commercial partnerships.
Working closely with the Head of Membership Marketing, you’ll play a key role in attracting new members, increasing engagement and retention, and promoting an established portfolio of training, publications, conferences, events and other member services.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, commercially minded marketer who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering campaigns to attract new members, improve onboarding and increase member engagement and retention.
- Leading the marketing of products, services and membership benefits across a mix of digital and offline channels.
- Representing the organisation at regional and external events, promoting membership and services to new audiences.
- Leading and growing the organisation’s annual member awards programme, overseeing everything from nominations and judging through to sponsorship and the gala awards evening.
- Identifying, securing and managing sponsors and exhibitors for conferences and events.
- Taking ownership of brand stewardship, maintaining brand and style guidelines and working with external designers to produce engaging online and print collateral.
- Developing the organisation’s presence across LinkedIn, X and Instagram, alongside using the website effectively as a marketing channel.
- Making greater use of CRM and email marketing, including developing automated email journeys to support engagement and promote products and services.
- Supporting the development of partnerships with other organisations to create new promotional and commercial opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
