Are you a full mix B2B marketing professional with experience working in a technical field? Do you have hands on experience in campaign management, content production, website maintenance & development, AI leveraged marketing operations? Are you keen to work for a fantastic company that is going through a period of renewal and expansion? Do you enjoy lead generation marketing and being rewarded for the ROI you help generate?
If you can answer yes to the above, this is a role for you!
Our client is looking for a driven Senior Marketing Executive / Marketing Manager who wants to get hands-on and really get stuck into this brilliant company’s digital revamp.
Your Role as a Senior Marketing Executive / Marketing Manager
- A hands-on senior role in a small marketing team, where most of the marketing output is produced in-house rather than via agency.
- Responsible for producing content and materials: web content, sales and customer collateral, case studies, web news stories, customer newsletters, factsheets and product release notes for direct and channel sales.
- Responsible for keeping product manuals, FAQs and other customer-facing technical content current and fit for purpose.
- Responsible for managing and extending integrated direct marketing campaigns: building contact lists, defining message sets, producing and automating campaign messages and workflows, and analysing performance. You will be accountable for the quantity and quality of leads generated.
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the company’s websites and microsites, including content publishing via WordPress and AI-supported HTML/CSS/JS, ongoing design improvement, SEO, PPC optimisation and LLM citation strategy. Web leads are the key route to the company’s growth objectives.
- Responsible for building and maintaining a library of AI tools and workflows that multiply the team’s output, such as writing and design engines, research tools, campaign generators and performance analysis. This is expected to be a significant differentiator in the role.
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting on campaign, website and content performance, using the data to improve lead generation, conversion rates, content effectiveness and sales support.
- Contributing to social media campaigns and to the overall direction of the web presence, with scope to take on more of this responsibility over time.
- Contributing to product strategy and product management, including analysis of market segments, geographies, pricing, channels and technologies, and developing tactical plans to position the products.
- On a more occasional basis: major content projects for new products and market initiatives, advanced animated sales presentations and webinar material, and material supporting partner marketing, PR, lobbying, advocacy and events.
- Working as part of the company’s senior team. In the short term, you are likely to become either the strong number two to the marketing lead or the lead yourself.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Ideal Background for the Senior Marketing Executive / Marketing Manager Position
- 5 years+ B2B marketing experience with technical products and services, ideally within IT networking, security or associated sectors.
- Demonstrable hands-on use of AI in marketing; not occasional drafting, but specific examples of tools or workflows you have built and what they changed.
- A fluent copywriter with a solid portfolio, able to quickly absorb a technical proposition and turn it into clear, impactful messaging.
- Real expertise in one or more of copywriting, graphic design and digital marketing, with solid skills across the wider marketing mix.
- A proven ability to contribute to marketing strategy, with a track record of measurable campaign success.
- A rigorous, structured and data-driven approach to complex problems, including drawing well-judged conclusions from market assessments. This is likely, but not necessarily, backed by a strong degree.
- Highly organised and self-sufficient, bringing your own process and discipline, with a track record of delivering on commitments.
- A direct, confident communicator, written and verbal, who says what they think, backs it up and can deliver uncomfortable information clearly.
- A strong team player with the drive, energy and tenacity to thrive in an entrepreneurial SME rather than a large corporate environment.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
