About the Role

The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the strategy and delivery of marketing activity across We Group, The Fair, We Are Placemaking and We Are OPS, our CEO’s profile, and key client and event projects including Winter Music Conference (WMC).

The role covers marketing strategy, social and digital marketing, PR, websites, email, brand and content, new business support, paid media and event marketing.

The Marketing Manager will directly manage the Marketing Executive, setting priorities, delegating activity, reviewing output and supporting their professional development.

The role requires ownership of marketing performance as well as delivery: using data and commercial objectives to evaluate campaigns, identify what is and isn’t working, and proactively recommend and implement alternative approaches.

Professional Skills

Events Industry / Marcomms

  • Maintain a strong understanding of We Group’s sectors, target clients and audiences.
  • Stay informed on relevant industry news, marketing trends, digital platforms and emerging opportunities.
  • Apply industry and audience insight to support brand awareness, new business and client projects.
  • Confidently represent We Group and its brands at relevant industry events.

Written & Digital Skills

  • Excellent written and spoken English with strong copywriting and editing skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality press releases, website copy, emails, social content and thought-leadership pieces.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, social media platforms, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, email platforms and relevant AI tools.
  • Ability to adapt messaging and tone of voice across different brands, audiences and channels.

Specialist Services

Marketing Strategy

  • Own and develop marketing strategies across We Group and key IP, conference and client projects including WMC. Deliver campaigns for these events and recommend alternative approaches when something isn't performing.
  • Develop marketing plans covering objectives, audiences, messaging, channels, budgets, timelines and KPIs.
  • Lead campaign delivery, working with and delegating activity to the Marketing Executive and relevant external suppliers.
  • Monitor performance and proactively recommend alternative approaches where activity is not delivering.
  • Manage marketing budgets and ensure activity supports wider commercial objectives.
  • Report regularly to senior management and company board members on marketing performance, priorities, challenges and opportunities.

Social, Content & PR

  • Own the social and content strategy across We Group brands and Nick Morgan’s profiles and client projects where needed.
  • Oversee content planning and delivery across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other relevant channels.
  • Manage content capture at festivals, conferences and events. Please note this is a key part of the role and availability will be required outside normal working hours, particularly during summer months.
  • Develop relationships with relevant trade and mainstream publications and identify PR opportunities.
  • Oversee and produce press releases, thought leadership and company announcements.
  • Monitor channel performance and use insights to shape future activity.
  • Support the Marketing Executive with content capture, creation and editing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
