About the company

A well established global B2B events, media and digital content business, producing market leading conferences and online communities for senior decision makers across several specialist sectors, including defence and security. The marketing team works closely with production and sales colleagues to deliver large scale events, and the business is known for a structured three month induction, extensive ongoing training and genuine career progression, including international opportunities, with hybrid working from a London office.

Role responsibilities

  • Develop creative marketing strategies for a portfolio of large scale B2B conferences, with full bottom line marketing responsibility for every event you work on.
  • Use email, social media, SEO and PPC to identify new prospects and build brand awareness across a global audience.
  • Create and manage long term partnerships with leading associations, publications and influencers.
  • Nurture prospects and past customers to increase revenue and deliver against lead and revenue targets.
  • Write enticing, informative copy from event launch to event end, testing new ways to reach key audiences and reporting on what works.
  • Build close relationships with expert speakers and sponsors so they promote the events through their networks.
  • Review the impact of campaigns using data, identifying future opportunities and challenges.

Candidate background

  • 3 to 4+ years of marketing experience, ideally in B2B publishing, conferences, events, exhibitions or a membership organisation. Established Marketing Managers are welcome, as are high performing Senior Marketing Executives ready to step up.
  • A proven record of managing campaigns across email, social media, stakeholder engagement, media partners, and data management and analysis.
  • Excellent copywriting across a variety of mediums, and exceptional communication skills with colleagues at every level.
  • A data driven, commercial mindset, with experience managing marketing budgets and delivering ROI.
  • A creative problem solver with real energy, who digs into the detail and wants to exceed targets.
  • Defence experience is not essential, but you should have an interest in the sector, be comfortable working in it, and be able to travel internationally when required.
