Kempston Group
Kempston Group is a specialist industrial technology group at an exciting point in its growth. Electrification - the move from fossil fuel to electricity across transport, buildings and industry - is reshaping our market and creating new opportunities across power distribution, control and automation. Grids are being rebuilt. Factories are electrifying. EV infrastructure, data centres and battery storage are driving demand for the technology we supply. We’re evolving with that market and strengthening how we show up to customers.
Which means we need someone who can help bring that story to life.
The Business You'd Be Marketing
- Nine companies
- Thirteen locations
- 338 colleagues from 21 nationalities
- Customers in more than 100 countries
- £88m turnover, £10m profit and the cash strength to invest properly
- Three own brands, 500+ supply partners including Schneider Electric, Siemens, ABB and Eaton, and a range of 1.4m products backed by real stock
We’ve grown fast, and growth has brought complexity: multiple brands, three country websites, 25,000+ accounts and different ways of working across the group. Part of your job is to help bring coherence to that - a consistent brand, a clearer customer offer and a more joined-up approach to market that still leaves each business room to serve its own customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
