Job Title: UK Retail Marketing Manager

Our client is a leading retail service provider within Europe and a global player within their bespoke industry. Backed by private equity and headquartered in the United Kingdom, they operate out of 12 countries with a strong international footprint and deep local market expertise.

Their ambition goes beyond market presence as they continuously invest in customer experience, digital solutions, operational performance, and innovative services to strengthen customer loyalty and long-term growth.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now looking for a UK Retail Marketing Manager to lead Marketing efforts in the UK. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop, lead, and continuously optimize the retail marketing strategy for the UK, to increase site traffic, revenue, product mix, customer engagement, and brand loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the retail marketing strategy for the UK, with a clear focus on driving site traffic, revenue, margin, product mix, customer engagement, and brand loyalty.
  • Own and proactively manage the retail marketing calendar, including defining, prioritizing, and strategically justifying planned marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze sales data, customer insights, and individual site performance to identify opportunities, set priorities, and optimize marketing activities.
  • Develop, plan, and execute retail campaigns, promotions, on-site activations, and local marketing initiatives.
  • Define and monitor relevant KPIs and measure and evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and translate results into clear learnings and recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Support site development and new site openings, particularly by increasing awareness, driving traffic, and building a sustainable customer base.
  • Develop and support local community marketing initiatives, to attract new customers from the surrounding area of individual sites.
  • Work closely with Retail and Operations to ensure successful implementation of marketing activities and a consistent customer experience.
  • Play a central role in the weekly Management Meetings, including preparing and presenting relevant marketing performance, reviewing ongoing initiatives, identifying optimization opportunities, and defining and following up on concrete actions.
  • Manage relevant marketing materials and retail assets, including signage, displays, and promotional materials.
  • Monitor relevant retail trends, customer behavior, competitive developments, and emerging marketing opportunities, and translate these into appropriate actions for the business.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in Retail Marketing or a comparable Marketing / Commercial role; additional experience is highly welcome.
  • Proven experience in a physical multi-store / multi-site within a retail environment is essential.
  • Strong experience in Retail Marketing, strategic planning, and campaign management.
  • Strong understanding of Retail Operations, site performance, merchandising, and customer behavior.
  • Proven ability in driving retail performance through marketing activities, increasing site traffic, mix, revenue, and commercial performance.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using sales data, customer insights, and performance KPIs to inform business decisions.
  • Experience in developing, managing, measuring, and optimizing marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience in customer-facing retail industries.
  • Experience in team management, coaching, or people development is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in an international and/or multi-site organization is an advantage.

This is an immediately available and new permanent role to be based in the Berkshire/Buckinghamshire area, working 3 days in the office with 2 days from home. You must be self-managed and highly motivated, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of stakeholders.
