Marketing Manager

Location: Hybrid – 3-4 days in office - Offices based in Hackney Wick (East London)

Salary: £40-45k depending on experience

Contract: [Permanent, full-time – 37.5 hours per week]

Reports to: 1 Manager from each business (and CEO of Group)

About us

We run a group of services supporting children, young people, families, and the professionals who work with them:

  • Young Wellbeing Hub — our private clinic, providing autism and ADHD assessments and wider wellbeing support for young people and families.
  • Young Crisis Hub — support and information for young people and families during the most difficult periods.
  • Young Care Hub — our Ofsted-regulated children's homes.
  • CAMHS Professionals — our children's mental health recruitment agency, placing clinicians and practitioners with the services that need them. It has built an audience of almost 100,000 followers on LinkedIn.
  • EFWS — our tuition service for young people who are not engaging with school.

Between them, these services reach parents trying to understand their child's needs, young people looking for help, clinicians and practitioners considering their next role, local authorities and schools making placements and commissioning provision, and the care and teaching staff we need to recruit ourselves.

These are quite different audiences, and at the moment nobody holds overall responsibility for how we communicate with any of them.

The role

We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager to take ownership of marketing, social media and PR across all five brands. This is a broad role with a genuine mix of strategy and delivery. You would decide what each service says and to whom, and then do much of the work to make that happen, with freelance and agency support where it makes sense.

You would also inherit a substantial existing asset in the CAMHS Professionals LinkedIn audience, which is well established and currently underused relative to its size.

The role would suit someone comfortable working across several audiences at once, and who is careful about how sensitive subjects are handled.

The kind of content we want to produce

Most of what we publish is intended to inform and support rather than to sell. That includes explaining what an autism or ADHD assessment actually involves, helping parents understand their options and what to expect, sharing practical guidance for families who are waiting for support, signposting people to appropriate services including ones we don't run, and contributing to better public understanding of young people's mental health.

We take this seriously, and we would expect you to as well. Our audiences often reach us at a stressful point, and content that is accurate, clear and honest is more useful to them than content designed to convert. It also happens to be what builds lasting trust in our services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you would be responsible for

  • Positioning across the group. Establishing what each brand stands for, clarifying where they overlap, and resolving areas where the current picture is confusing to the people we're trying to reach.
  • Growing our private assessment services. Young Wellbeing Hub's autism and ADHD clinics are a paid service, and part of this role is attracting families who are considering a private assessment. In practice that means clear, honest information about the process, timescales and costs; strong search visibility for the questions parents are actually typing; a straightforward and well-supported enquiry journey; and appropriate paid activity. We would want you to be direct about what we offer without overstating what an assessment can do, and to be mindful that many of the people considering this route are anxious and under pressure.
  • CAMHS Professionals — two audiences. As a recruitment agency, this brand needs to attract clinicians and practitioners, and to attract client organisations who want access to that talent. The LinkedIn following gives you a strong starting point on the candidate side; the client side needs building. You would own both, and they need different approaches, channels and messages.
  • Young Care Hub. Marketing for Ofsted-regulated children's homes is mainly two things: attracting and retaining good residential care staff in a competitive market, and maintaining the reputation and visibility that placing authorities rely on. Content here must never identify or expose the young people in our care.
  • EFWS. Reaching the local authorities, schools, SEND teams and families who arrange alternative provision and tuition, alongside recruiting the tutors we need. This is largely relationship and referral-led marketing with longer decision cycles than our consumer work.
  • Recruitment marketing and employer brand. A significant part of this role sits across the group: we need to attract clinicians, care staff and tutors, not just customers and clients. Building a coherent employer brand and a reliable candidate-attraction pipeline is one of the highest-value things you could do here.
  • Social media across all five brands. Setting the tone, cadence and content plan for each, and building a sustainable way of producing content — including drawing on the knowledge of our clinical colleagues — so output doesn't depend on one person having a good week.
  • PR and earned media. In this sector, credibility matters more than reach. You would build our media relationships from a fairly low base: identifying the right journalists and trade titles for each audience, preparing our clinicians as spokespeople, developing original material such as survey or research-based stories, and responding to relevant news coverage in a considered way.
  • Demand generation. Organic and local search, email and CRM, and paid activity where appropriate. Enquiry generation for the clinics and Hubs, and pipeline support for commissioning, placements and client work.
  • Reporting. A single view across the group, based on measures that mean something: enquiries and conversions, cost per enquiry, candidate and client volumes for CAMHS Professionals, applications for care and tuition roles, referral and commissioning pipeline, search visibility, email engagement, and the quality of media coverage.

You would work within our clinical and safeguarding sign-off processes, and keep our marketing compliant with ASA/CAP rules on health claims and testimonials, with UK GDPR, and with the confidentiality requirements that apply to the children and young people in our services.

What success looks like

  • First month: you understand the five services and their audiences, you have audited what exists, and you have a clear view on priorities.
  • By 2nd month: positioning agreed, a working content plan running across the brands, the LinkedIn audience being used properly, and a measurable improvement in enquiry volume for the assessment clinics.
  • By 6 months: sustained growth in qualified enquiries, client wins and candidate applications; established relationships with journalists covering our sector; and marketing that visibly supports placements and commissioning.

About you

Essential

  • Track record in Marketing
  • Hands-on social media experience, together with real strength in at least one of SEO, email/CRM or paid media.

  • Comfort working alongside clinical colleagues in a regulated environment.
  • Confident with data and reporting.
  • The ability to prioritise sensibly across several brands and to explain your reasoning.

Desirable

  • Experience in mental health, healthcare, education, social care, recruitment or the public sector.
  • PR or media relations experience, including sensitive subject matter
  • Both consumer and B2B experience.
  • Experience marketing a private healthcare or clinical service.
  • Recruitment marketing or employer brand experience, and confidence with LinkedIn as a channel at scale.
  • Familiarity with the Samaritans media guidelines on reporting suicide and self-harm.
  • Experience supporting tenders, bids or commissioned services.
  • Practical design and short-form video skills.
