About us
Place Media Group is the UK's leading media house for the built environment. We publish daily news on the cities and regions of the North of England and the Midlands, and we run conferences and events that bring the property market together to learn and network. Our head office is in Manchester city centre.
We are known for our high-quality, detailed work in everything we do. We move at pace, work hard and expect high standards. We are looking for someone who wants to help drive the business forward.
The role
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to grow audiences, engagement, and leads across our publications and events. You will own our marketing from planning through to delivery: writing the plans, creating the assets, sending the campaigns and reporting on what works.
This is a hands-on role with a lot of autonomy. You will be comfortable designing a social graphic or building an email in the morning, and presenting a campaign plan to senior managers in the afternoon.
You will need to have a positive, can-do attitude, bring ideas and drive the company forward with colleagues.
What you will do
Plan and advise
- Write marketing plans for our publications, events and commercial services, with clear objectives, channels, budgets and measures of success
- Advise senior managers on positioning and new ideas to keep our marketing fresh
- Report regularly on performance and return on investment
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
