Marketing Manager
McBride Sport is delighted to be partnering with one of the UK's leading sports, entertainment, and leisure organisations to appoint a Marketing Manager. The group operates a portfolio of high-profile venues across the country. Each one stages live sporting action throughout the year alongside a busy calendar of concerts, conferences, hospitality, and private events. This is a chance to take the lead on marketing across a number of venues in the South and South-East.
You'll shape and deliver the marketing vision, creating bold, revenue-generating campaigns that make a real commercial impact. That means driving ticket sales, hospitality and corporate bookings, and income from non-event-day activity, while raising the profile of every venue in the region.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Day to day, you'll turn central and local strategy into campaigns that perform. You'll plan and book media, brief internal designers from concept through to delivery, and create engaging written, video and photo content for websites, email and social channels. You'll also work with the group's SEO and social media specialists to optimise digital performance, manage online reputation and customer feedback, and use campaign analysis to keep improving results. You'll line-manage the regional marketing team and own the regional budget, so a blend of creative thinking and sharp commercial focus is essential.
What we're looking for:
- A strong B2C background, ideally within leisure, hospitality, sport or live events
- Hands-on experience across on- and offline campaigns, social media, CRM and CMS platforms
- At least four years' experience in a similar marketing role, with line management and budget responsibility
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the organisation to deliver under pressure
