Commercial Services Group (CSG)
CSG is looking for a Marketing Manager who can turn strategy into measurable revenue. This is a unique opportunity to drive client acquisition, build high-value partnerships, and prove the direct impact of marketing in a fast-growing renewable energy recruitment business.
Who we are
Impact Energy Partners and Impact Student Support are part of Commercial Services Group (CSG), the UK’s largest local authority-owned trading company. Impact Energy Partners specialises in recruiting skilled professionals across the UK renewable energy sectors, and Impact Student Partners specialises in placing tutors, mentors, and specialist support workers into higher education settings across the UK. As a CSG business, profits are reinvested back into frontline public services, meaning commercial success directly supports social value, local communities, and the public sector.
Why this role matters
The Marketing Manager will play a critical role in leading our marketing initiatives and building our brand presence in the student support and renewable energy space. This role is perfect for an ambitious marketing professional who wants to make a meaningful impact in both areas while developing expertise in B2B recruitment marketing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, generate high-quality leads through various sources, and position us as thought leaders in both areas.
What you’ll be doing
- Drive measurable revenue growth by developing and executing targeted marketing and account-based campaigns.
- Develop and implement client acquisition strategies, including multi-channel campaigns and bespoke materials, to win high-value accounts in the renewable energy sector.
- Create thought leadership and industry-focused content (e.g., insights, surveys, case studies, reports) to position the business as an expert partner.
- Support business development by conducting client research, building intelligence profiles, and producing compelling pitch and proposal materials.
- Manage the company website to optimise user experience, increase lead generation, and implement conversion strategies that turn enquiries into revenue.
- Execute SEO and email marketing strategies to increase visibility, engage target audiences, and nurture long-term client relationships.
- Enhance consultants’ personal branding and visibility through LinkedIn optimisation, content creation, and securing speaking and thought-leadership opportunities.
- Track and report on marketing performance, lead conversion, and revenue attribution, using analytics to demonstrate ROI and refine strategies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
