Job Title: Marketing Manager

Reporting into: Managing Director

Location: 1 Day office (N20), + Adhoc days for events/filming

Salary: £40,000 (Freelance or Full time)

About Quit To Grow

Quit To Grow is a product based business; anti-affirmation cards and journals to help people to quit the areas of their lives that are holding them back to reach their full potential both professionally and personally.

The Role

We’re looking for a creative, self-driven individual to lead NXT LVL’s and QTG’s marketing strategy and community-building efforts across Substack, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram, as well as IRL experiences. You’ll be responsible for planning and producing content for all our branded touchpoints, with support from a social media freelancer and guest contributors, as well as putting on live events (for large events, with freelance support) and generally putting the community at the heart of event decision. We are looking for someone who’s a generalist in marketing but ideally with the ability to manage projects, experience in CRM, paid media and the ability to craft content around our tone of voice.

Key Responsibilities

NXT LVL (80%):

1. Substack content management

Our Substack is focused on senior personnel either owning or working in senior leadership positions, our role is to create content that supports them in their growth and helps build their community. Topics range from industry trends, finance, wealth management, growth, leadership through to wellness and style.

  • Oversee the editorial calendar and publishing schedule.
  • Proactive ideas for content, trending/reactive topics.
  • Work with the contributors to develop article topics and curate expert insights.
  • Manage and generate growth through these relationships and collaborations.
  • Review what’s working for the community and what they want more of.
  • Knowledge of building the audience both organically and through paid subscribers through owned, earned and paid.
  • Skills required: Copywriting, editorial management

2. Social Media Management

  • Oversee the organic freelance support for social ensuring there’s clear alignment to the brand values, design and TOV.
  • Manage and grow our presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Lead on the paid media for the business, driving results and growth.
  • Note: Social Channels: Would need to be comfortable representing the business and being on socials, as well as contributors and guests.
  • Note: Paid: We have support but we would want to upskill in-house/ not agent.

3. CRM:

  • Own CRM and email campaigns across NXT LVL, using audience data to drive engagement, retention and growth.
  • Build and manage email send outs, audience segmentation and customer journeys for event marketing.
  • Develop and execute email campaigns to increase readership, event attendance and paid subscriptions (across HubSpot & Substack currently).
  • Analyse email performance and optimise open rates, click-through rates and conversions.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene and ensure audience data is accurately captured and utilised (forms, landing pages, audience sharing) and remains GDPR compliant.
  • Skills required: CRM/email campaigns

4. Event Coordination

  • Plan and execute events, including liaising with speakers, sponsors, photographers, and videographers. For large events, there’s freelance support to deliver but you’re the project lead.
  • Propose fresh ideas to engage attendees and expand the NXT LVL community.
  • Manage all of the SOPs for the events.
  • Skills required: Project Management

5. Audience growth & analytics:

  • Track key performance metrics (e.g., subscribers, readers, social followers).
  • Regularly assess content effectiveness and propose data-driven strategies to expand reach.
  • Provide reports and recommendations to continuously refine content and growth initiatives.

QUIT TO GROW (20% time allocation):

1. Social Media Management

  • Own the organic social strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Plan content with a calendar that builds awareness, drives community engagement and supports product launches.
  • Manage freelance creative support where required, ensuring consistency across brand, tone of voice and design.
  • Lead paid social campaigns to drive product sales, keynote enquiries and audience growth.
  • Skills required: Project management/Social eye

2. CRM

  • Own the email marketing strategy across product launches, campaigns and community communications.
  • Build automated customer journeys including welcome flows, abandoned basket, post-purchase and re-engagement sequences (Squarespace).
  • Create monthly (cadence TBC) newsletters that drive repeat purchases, community engagement and keynote enquiries.
  • Monitor performance and continually optimise conversion and retention opportunities.

3. Marketing & Growth:

  • Own the day-to-day marketing calendar to drive product sales and customer acquisition.
  • Develop gifting, influencer and creator seeding strategies to increase awareness and advocacy with support from the wider team.
  • Identify new partnerships, campaigns and content opportunities to grow the brand.
  • Support ongoing product strategy, fulfilment, ops and customer service and ensure customer experience remains high.
  • Skills required: Marketing project management

4. Keynote booking / PR:

  • Support the promotion of Sedge's keynote speaking and thought leadership with wider team.
  • Identify PR, podcast and speaking opportunities to increase visibility for Quit To Grow.
  • Manage keynote enquiries, supporting the creation of materials and marketing assets with wider team.
  • Develop campaigns that position Quit To Grow as a platform, not just a product.

  • Design proficiency: Familiarity with Canva (or similar design tools) to produce engaging visual assets.
  • Social media savvy: Proven track record of growing online communities and managing multiple platforms effectively.
  • Be excellent: Attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple projects, and strong time-management skills.
  • Creative mindset: Constantly on the lookout for new ideas, trends, and opportunities to amplify content.
  • Passion for the creative industry: Genuine interest in helping creators and creative professionals thrive.
