Marketing Manager
Build the brand. Create demand. Help shape the future of food.
MicroLub is looking for a proactive, commercially minded B2B Marketing Manager to build our brand with the audiences that matter and turn engagement into genuine growth opportunities.
We are developing next-generation protein technologies for fat and oil replacement, helping food businesses create products that meet changing consumer and market needs. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of how that story reaches the market and how interest develops into customer conversations.
Working with our Marketing Director and closely alongside the commercial, innovation and technical teams, you will lead the day-to-day activation of our B2B marketing strategy. Your initial focus will include SMEs with the capability and ambition to commercialise new products within the next 12–18 months.
The Opportunity
This is a broad, hands-on role with real ownership. You will connect brand building, audience insight, CRM, content, events and earned media into an integrated demand-generation programme. You will have the freedom to shape how MicroLub shows up, while working with experts whose science has a compelling commercial story to tell.
What You’ll Own
- Activate the marketing strategy through integrated B2B campaigns that build awareness, credibility and preference among priority audiences.
- Develop the CRM and marketing database, including segmentation, target-account development, data capture and meaningful performance reporting.
- Create lead-generation and nurture journeys that move prospects from awareness to qualified commercial engagement.
- Own LinkedIn as our key always-on brand channel, building a consistent editorial programme that grows relevant reach, engagement and inbound interest.
- Turn complex science and product capability into persuasive customer stories, presentations, case studies, brochures, digital content and thought leadership.
- Create earned-media opportunities and manage PR activity, media relationships and external partners.
- Use trade shows and industry events as customer-acquisition platforms, with targeted pre-event outreach, lead capture and disciplined follow-up.
- Work with commercial and technical colleagues to connect marketing activity to meetings, trials, partnerships and pipeline opportunities, measuring performance and improving activity over time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
