Marketing Manager – Consumer Tech / Sports
£50,000–£60,000
Harlow, Essex | Hybrid – 3 days in the office
I’m working with one of the UK’s fastest-growing consumer brands as they go through a really exciting period of growth and transformation.
Already a highly established name within its category, the business has grown rapidly over the last few years and is now evolving beyond its traditional physical products into a much broader ecosystem spanning connected hardware, digital experiences and subscription-based products. As part of that growth, they’re looking for a Marketing Manager to take ownership of how products are brought to market across DTC, ecommerce and retail channels. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys getting things done. The business has scaled quickly, so rather than walking into perfectly established processes, you’ll have the autonomy to improve them, introduce best practice and create a much more joined-up approach to product launches.
The role
You’ll own and coordinate the product-to-market journey, working across Product, Creative, Ecommerce, Sales and Retail to make sure launches are commercially strong, consistent and delivered on time.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Coordinating product launches end-to-end across DTC, ecommerce and retail channels
- Turning customer and market insight into clear USPs and compelling product stories
- Owning product content across imagery, video, ecommerce pages, rich/A+ content and SEO-optimised descriptions
- Briefing and working closely with internal creative teams
- Making sure product messaging, naming and content remain consistent across channels
- Adapting content appropriately for different retailers, marketplaces and the brand's own ecommerce channels
- Improving the processes behind product launches and removing unnecessary complexity
- Helping establish and manage PIM and DAM processes so teams have a reliable source of product information and assets
- Coordinating multiple stakeholders across Product, Creative, Sales and Marketing
- Reviewing launch and content performance and feeding learnings into future activity
- Managing and developing a Content Lead

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for
You'll ideally have experience within a consumer-facing business where you've been involved in bringing physical products to market.
You could currently be a Marketing Manager, Product Marketing Manager, GTM Manager, Product Launch Manager, Product Content Manager or Ecommerce Marketing Manager — we're much more interested in what you've actually owned than your job title.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience launching consumer or physical products
- Exposure to both DTC/ecommerce and third-party retail or marketplace channels
- Strong product content and storytelling experience
- Experience coordinating cross-functional launches
- An understanding of ecommerce and SEO-optimised product content
- Exposure to PIM and/or DAM systems would be highly beneficial
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
- A commercial mindset and interest in understanding how products perform after launch
Most importantly, you'll be someone who is comfortable being hands-on. This isn't a role where everything is already built for you — you'll have genuine autonomy to improve how things are done and help shape the function as the business grows.
Why join?
The business is at a particularly exciting point in its journey, combining a hugely successful existing consumer brand with ambitious plans across technology, digital products and international expansion. For someone who enjoys fast-growth environments, consumer products and building things rather than simply maintaining them, there's a huge amount of opportunity to make an impact and grow with the business.
