Charity People is delighted to be partnering with Nottingham Hospitals Charity to find their new Marketing Manager.

Salary:

c. £35,000 depending on experience

Location:

Nottingham, with hybrid and flexible working

Hours:

Full time, 37.5 hours per week. 0.8 FTE may be considered

Nottingham Hospitals Charity has raised £65 million over the past 20 years to support Nottingham’s NHS hospitals, funding improvements to patient care, facilities, medical equipment and staff wellbeing.

Around one million people pass through Nottingham’s hospitals every year and the money raised stays local. Now, the Charity has real ambition to build on that impact, reach more people and grow its supporter base.

The opportunity

This is a brilliant opportunity for a marketer who wants the freedom to shape, build and deliver. The Charity already has real strength in storytelling, PR and local communications. Now, they’re looking for someone who can bring a different dimension to the team, using audience insight and data to develop marketing activity that grows supporter numbers, engagement and fundraising income.

Working closely with the Head of Supporter Growth and Marketing and fundraising colleagues, you’ll:

  • Shape and deliver the Charity’s marketing plan
  • Develop supporter acquisition activity and improve audience segmentation
  • Make better use of CRM data and insight to inform campaigns
  • Lead email marketing and support brand and awareness campaigns
  • Work with agency partners and colleagues to create more joined up supporter journeys
  • Measure what’s working and use those insights to improve future activity

This is a role where creativity really matters, but so do the results.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a confident, creative and curious all-round marketer who enjoys both thinking and doing. You might already work in the charity sector, but you absolutely don’t have to. We’d love to hear from people with strong marketing experience from commercial, consumer, membership, retail, healthcare or other sectors who are excited about bringing their skills into a purpose driven organisation.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Track record of marketing experience
  • Experience delivering successful campaigns across multiple channels
  • A strong understanding of audiences, segmentation and acquisition
  • Confidence using data and insight to shape marketing activity
  • Evidence of delivering measurable growth, engagement, sales or income
  • Experience using CRM systems to improve marketing effectiveness
  • Strong project management skills
  • Confidence working with colleagues, senior stakeholders and external agencies
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills
  • Creativity, curiosity and the confidence to try new things
