The Role
The Arena Marketing Manager is responsible for driving marketing excellence, digital capability, and commercial performance across the UK arena portfolio. Working closely with venue teams, senior operational leaders, promoters, and ticketing partners, the role ensures a consistent and data-driven approach to marketing that maximises audience reach, ticket sales, on-site revenue, and the successful launch of new products and investments. The role also acts as a centre of expertise for arena marketing, developing best practice, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and supporting performance across the portfolio.
The Responsibilities
- Lead marketing best practice across the arena portfolio, establishing consistent standards, tools, and processes, while coaching and supporting venue marketing teams to enhance capability and performance.
- Drive digital marketing excellence, strengthening the use of social media, CRM, paid media, SEO/SEM, website performance, and reporting frameworks to improve audience engagement and return on investment.
- Optimise ticket sales performance, monitoring sales and campaign data, identifying underperforming events, developing targeted marketing activity, and aligning closely with ticketing partners and strategy teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with promoters and promoter marketing teams, ensuring collaborative campaign planning and maximising the impact of joint marketing investment.
- Support revenue growth and new product launches, developing marketing strategies that increase on-site spend, promote premium hospitality offerings, and successfully launch new investments and guest experiences.
- Provide strategic stakeholder management and insight, partnering with operational leadership and senior marketing colleagues to align priorities, share performance reporting, and drive continuous improvement across the arena estate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
