About Ribbon

Ribbon is a UK fintech on a simple mission: make rent work harder for the people who pay it. We're a fast-growing startup building a category-defining brand, and we're looking for people who want to help shape how the world sees us.

Coming from a multitude of backgrounds, we pride ourselves on how dynamic our team is and how much we learn from each other. We're looking for someone who wants to make history building a brand people genuinely love — if you're driven, creative and want to make a difference, we'd love to connect.

About the Role

As Marketing Manager, you'll be the voice and energy behind Ribbon's brand — bringing our story to life across channels, campaigns and communities. You'll be part of a fast-moving team where taking initiative and owning your work end-to-end is essential.

This is a role for someone who lights up a room, thinks on their feet, and can turn ideas into campaigns that actually get people talking. Every day is different at a startup, and you'll have the support of the whole team as we learn, test and grow together.

What You'll Do

  • Brand & Campaigns Plan and run marketing campaigns across social, content, email and events — bringing energy and a distinctive voice to everything Ribbon puts out into the world.
  • Community & Outreach Be the face of Ribbon at events, partnerships and online communities. Build relationships that turn into advocates, partners and customers.
  • Content Creation Create engaging content (copy, video, social) that captures attention fast and reflects Ribbon's personality — confident, warm and a little bold.
  • Growth Operations Track campaign performance, maintain marketing trackers, and continuously test and refine what's working. Coordinate with product, sales and leadership to keep messaging sharp and consistent.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key Traits

We're principally looking for someone who is:

  • Committed and Hard Working — we've built a wonderful culture but recognise that, as an ambitious startup, our team needs to go above and beyond to achieve our goals. If having a strictly predictable 9am-6pm workday is important to you, this is unlikely to be the right role. Our team works together from our Paddington office five days a week.
  • Outgoing and Energetic — you bring people into a room and keep them engaged; talking to strangers, pitching ideas and being "on" energises rather than drains you.
  • Highly Capable — we give teammates responsibilities that match their ability. The more initiative you show, the faster your opportunities grow.
  • Proactive with Strong Commercial Judgement — you use common sense to prioritise the work that has the biggest impact.
  • Organised and Able to Multitask — campaigns, content and outreach all happen at once; you keep the plates spinning.
  • Thrives in a Fast-Paced Environment — priorities shift quickly at a startup, and you enjoy that rather than resist it.
  • Great to Work With — collaborative, respectful and a positive presence on a close-knit team.
