About the Role
We’re working with an established, growing digital agency in the North East that is looking for an ambitious and hands-on Marketing Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced digital marketer who is ready to take the next step in their agency career, combining hands-on digital marketing with client strategy, account ownership, and team development.
You’ll play a central role in driving performance across a portfolio of client accounts while supporting and mentoring a growing marketing team.
The role would suit a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist or existing Marketing Manager with strong technical expertise who wants greater ownership of strategy and the opportunity to develop their leadership and commercial skills.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership and have a clear progression route towards taking greater ownership of the marketing department.
Key Responsibilities
Team Support & Leadership
- Act as a day-to-day point of support for a team of marketing specialists, content executives, and apprentices.
- Mentor team members, share technical knowledge, and help maintain consistently high standards across client delivery.
- Support the coordination of project timelines, workloads, and team capacity.
- Work closely with senior leadership to continue developing your management and leadership capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
