Wave Marketing Manager
Wave is the UK watersports and home spa brand helping thousands of first-timers and families finally get on the water, or in it. We're looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager, based in Newcastle, to own our marketing strategy end to end: campaign planning, PPC across Google and Meta, content, SEO, brand, PR, CRM and affiliate performance, plus how marketing supports sales.
You'll have a direct report who manages day-to-day campaign scheduling and execution, so you set the plan and stay in the detail with her. You'll run paid media budgets, direct content and creative alongside a dedicated content creator and our graphic designer, grow our visibility in traditional and AI-driven search, manage PR and partnerships, own CRM and affiliate performance directly, and work closely with our ecommerce team to build the funnels and materials that turn marketing into sales.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Planning and Team
- Own the strategy and overall planning for the 360 marketing calendar across both brands, deciding priorities, channel mix and direction.
- Manage and develop your direct report, Kate Young, who runs day-to-day scheduling and set-up across Klaviyo (email and SMS), push, WhatsApp, social, blog and paid channels. You set the plan and stay involved in execution.
- Use AI tools to speed up campaign build, scheduling, copy and audience segmentation.
- Brief and coordinate internal teams and external collaborators, keeping everyone on brand and on deadline.
PPC, Content and Creative
- Own and run PPC across Google (Search, Shopping, YouTube) and Meta (Facebook, Instagram), managing budgets and optimising towards ROAS across acquisition and re-targeting.
- Plan and direct content across social, web and email that builds trust in each brand, working alongside a dedicated digital content creator and outsourcing production where it makes sense.
- Brief and direct photography and video, including customer stories, product shoots and social-first video, managing the relationship where production is outsourced.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
