The Role

We're looking for a Marketing Manager to help strengthen Aegiq's marketing function as we grow, working closely with our Chief Product Officer. This is a broad, hands-on role covering everything from campaign planning and lead generation to press engagement, website management, and account-based marketing for our most strategic customers.

We know this is a very wide set of responsibilities and we are not expecting a single person to have all of these in depth from the start. We're looking for someone exceptionally sharp, curious, and quick to learn, who we can invest in and grow with the company. You'll be supported with mentorship, training, and external specialists (e.g. PR agency, website contractor) so you're never doing the hardest parts alone.

We are looking for someone with the ability to take complex, highly technical concepts (photonic quantum computing is not simple) and translate them into clear, compelling language for both technical and non-technical audiences, from prospective customers to journalists to VCs.

What You'll Be Doing

Campaigns, demand generation & digital

  • Plan and run marketing campaigns that generate qualified leads.
  • Own our outbound marketing strategy across digital channels, events, and press.
  • Evaluate and help select the marketing/CRM tooling that will scale with us, then own its day-to-day use.
  • Use AI tools to support content creation, analytics, and campaign optimisation.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, turning data into clear, actionable insight to improve ROI.

Messaging, content & press

  • Work with the CPO to shape messaging for product launches and major announcements.
  • Write clear, concise content that distils complex technical concepts into simple, engaging English for non-technical audiences.
  • Manage press and media engagement, working alongside our external PR/communications agency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Website & SEO

  • Manage the company website in partnership with our external development contractor.
  • Make simple content updates directly where possible.
  • Own strong SEO performance and a steady pipeline of engaging content.

Partnerships & account-based marketing

  • Develop partner marketing activity with our ecosystem partners and customers.
  • Work with the CPO to develop and execute account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns targeting strategic accounts.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the CPO and whole leadership team to keep marketing activity tightly aligned with business goals.

What We're Looking For

We expect this role to suit a very smart, tech-savvy recent graduate with some internship or early-career marketing experience - someone with strong fundamentals and real potential, not necessarily someone who has already done all of the above at scale.

  • A genuine interest in deep tech, and the ability (or clear potential) to get to grips with complex technical subject matter well enough to explain it simply.
  • Strong writing skills, able to adapt tone and complexity for different audiences, from engineers to investors to journalists.
  • Comfortable with data: able to look at campaign or website performance and draw out what matters.
  • Curious about, and comfortable using, AI tools as part of day-to-day work.
  • Some hands-on exposure to marketing already - an internship, placement, society role, freelance work, or your first job - rather than a specific number of years' experience.
  • Experience with business focused social media channels including LinkedIn
  • Organised and self-directed: comfortable owning a varied workload and asking for help when needed.
  • A collaborative style. You'll work daily with the CPO, leadership team, engineering team, and external partners.

Nice to have, but not required:

  • Exposure to a CRM or marketing automation platform (e.g. HubSpot), experience with basic website content management
  • Prior exposure to a startup, scale-up, or technical/scientific environment.

If you don't meet every point above but think you'd thrive in this role, we'd still love to hear from you - we care more about potential and how you think than a perfect match on paper.

How We Will Support Your Growth

  • Direct mentorship from an experienced CPO and leadership team who have chosen to build much of the company around developing early-career talent.
  • Support from specialist external partners (PR agency, website contractor) so you're learning alongside experts, not figuring everything out solo.
  • Real ownership and visibility from day one, with scope for the role and your responsibilities to grow significantly as Aegiq scales.
  • A close-knit, supportive, and inclusive team culture, in a company working on category-defining deep technology.
  • The opportunity to work directly with counterparts in major companies and institutions worldwide, such as NVIDIA, BAE Systems, NQCC, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
