Marketing Manager
London
£50,000–£60,000 per annum
A highly regarded and design-led international architectural practice is looking for an ambitious and creative Marketing Manager to join its London team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of architecture and design who can combine excellent writing, graphic design and communication skills with a genuine interest in shaping the profile and voice of an architectural practice.
The successful candidate will work closely with the architectural team and senior leadership, taking ownership of the studio's marketing and communications activity while helping to build a cohesive and distinctive presence within the architectural industry.
The Role
The Marketing Manager will play a central role in communicating the practice's work, ideas and design approach to the wider industry. You will be responsible for a broad range of marketing and communications activities, including:
- Working closely with the architectural team to create compelling portfolios and presentations.
- Developing high-quality written and visual content to communicate projects and the studio's work.
- Supporting architectural research and academic research.
- Managing and developing the practice's social media platforms.
- Creating and maintaining website content.
- Preparing and coordinating architectural award submissions.
- Identifying relevant press and publication opportunities and preparing content for submission.
- Building relationships with architectural and non-architectural press.
- Identifying opportunities for public speaking, exhibitions and industry events.
- Preparing presentations and supporting content for speaking engagements and exhibitions.
- Working directly with the Principal on the development of the practice's monograph.
- Establishing, maintaining and developing the firm's overall brand identity.
- Maintaining consistent graphic standards and visual communication across the practice.
- Helping to establish a cohesive and consistent voice for the studio across all external communications.
- Engaging with potential clients, press and industry contacts to raise the profile of the practice.

About You
We're looking for a creative, ambitious and highly organised marketing professional who understands the architectural world and is confident working in a design-led environment. You will ideally have:
- Previous marketing or communications experience within an architectural practice or design-led environment.
- A genuine interest in architecture, design and the built environment.
- Excellent graphic design skills and a strong visual eye.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate architectural ideas clearly and engagingly.
- Existing relationships with architectural and wider property/design press.
- Experience creating presentations, portfolios and other visual marketing materials.
- Experience with social media, websites and digital communications.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The confidence to work directly with senior architects and the Principal.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
- A proactive approach, with the creativity and initiative to identify new opportunities for the practice.

Previous experience working within an architecture practice is desirable but not essential. Candidates from closely related design, property or creative environments with the right skills and understanding will also be considered.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to take genuine ownership of the marketing function within an international architectural practice with an ambitious design ethos and a diverse portfolio of work. You will have significant exposure to the practice's senior leadership and architectural team, with the opportunity to influence how the studio communicates its work, develops its brand and positions itself within the architectural industry.
