Marketing Manager | Up to £50k | Manchester | Maternity Cover

Are you an experienced Marketing Manager with a background in architecture, property, construction or the wider built environment?

Looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of marketing, business development, bids and content?

If so, this could be worth a look.

We're working with an established architectural practice in Manchester City Centre that is looking for a Marketing Manager to join the team on a 14-month maternity cover contract, starting in November 2026.

This is a broad role offering plenty of autonomy across the marketing function, working closely with senior stakeholders and managing an existing Marketing Coordinator. Hybrid working also available.

The Role:

You'll take ownership of day-to-day marketing and business development activity across the practice, helping to strengthen the brand, support new business opportunities and deliver engaging communications.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
