Marketing Manager

PharmaSource, a division of Life Science Connect, runs market-leading conferences and exhibitions for the pharma and biotech outsourcing community, including its flagship CDMO Live event series, which was recognized as Best Event Launch at the 2026 AEO Excellence Awards.

This role owns marketing for delegates and exhibitors across CDMO Live's events in Europe and North America, alongside the PharmaSource media platform.

It’s an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Marketing Manager looking to take the next step in a high-growth events business, with the autonomy to lead and own the marketing function as the portfolio continues to grow.

This role will maintain a strong partnership with corporate marketing to ensure consistency across product positioning, campaigns, and all market-facing materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own event marketing plans, delivering campaigns and tracking performance against targets.
  • Deliver delegate audiences to CDMO Live Europe (Netherlands) and CDMO Live Americas (United States), plus regional roundtable events (Basel, Dublin, New York).
  • Run email marketing end to end: the weekly PharmaSource newsletter and all event communications.
  • Contribute to campaign planning by identifying opportunities to improve messaging, creative execution, audience targeting, and event positioning.
  • Take an analytical approach to improving response rates and optimising activity across digital marketing channels.
  • Manage digital advertising to budget, working with our digital marketing agency.
  • Build and manage CRM segmentation, automation, and list building to create effective marketing segments (HubSpot preferred).
  • Develop media kits and sales collateral that make the case for sponsors, exhibitors, and partners, clearly and persuasively.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with media partners and industry thought leaders to expand event visibility and audience reach.
  • Own and grow association partnerships that bring qualified audience to our events.
  • Actively participate in the annual planning process, researching relevant events and market opportunities to inform the portfolio.
  • Stay informed on customer behaviour, industry trends, competitive activity, and marketing best practice, and apply that thinking to improve campaign performance.
  • Keep event websites updated (WordPress/Elementor).
  • Line manage as the team grows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
