Job Title: (Acting) Marketing Manager

Location: London, UK
Employment Type: Full-Time, Hybrid working on a fixed term contract
Contract period: Minimum of 10 months, commencing November 2026
Salary: Competitive

Our client is a leading common law set of chambers located in modern offices within EC4, London. The Set prioritises client service, teamwork, and efficiency, with a modern, inclusive approach to meet the evolving needs of the legal market. With a rich history of providing exceptional legal advocacy and advisory services, their barristers are recognised for their expertise across civil, family, and criminal law. They are committed to excellence, integrity, and innovation in legal practice.

Their objective

They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing Manager to lead and develop their marketing strategies, enhance their brand, and expand their client base. This role is pivotal in driving the visibility and reputation of their chambers in the legal sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the two directors and practice team leaders: design, implement, and manage a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the chambers' business objectives. This includes both traditional and digital marketing tactics to increase brand awareness and client engagement.
  • Brand Management: Oversee all branding activities to ensure consistency in messaging and visual identity across all platforms. Enhance their chambers' reputation as a leader in the legal field.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients through targeted marketing initiatives. Ensure that marketing efforts translate into client acquisition and retention.
  • Directory and Awards submissions: work with members of chambers to collate and process their legal directory submissions. Arrange interviews for barristers to speak to the directories during the research process. Recognise opportunities for industry awards and assist in compiling submissions.
  • Conferences & exhibitions: coordinate, manage and occasionally attend conferences organised by external organisations (e.g. APIL, ALARM, PEOPIL, AvMA)
  • Content Creation: Lead the creation of insightful content for legal blogs, newsletters, white papers, and case studies that demonstrate thought leadership and expertise.
  • Digital Marketing: Manage SEO, social media campaigns, and the chambers' website to increase online visibility and engagement. Analyse performance data to refine strategies.
  • Event creation & planning: Plan and execute events such as seminars, webinars, and networking events to position chambers barristers as thought leaders while fostering professional relationships.
  • Staff supervision: Manage the collaboration with clerks, including direct supervision of junior clerks during preparation for events.
  • Budget Management: Control and monitor the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while achieving maximum ROI.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
