15-Month Fixed-Term Contract – Maternity Cover
Surbiton | 5 Days On-Site | B2C / Consumer Business
We’re working with an established, multi-site consumer business to appoint an experienced Marketing Manager for a 15-month maternity cover contract.
This is a broad, hands-on marketing leadership role within a fast-paced B2C environment. Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of the marketing function, leading campaigns from concept through to execution, managing CRM activity, supporting multiple trading locations and ensuring marketing activity translates into measurable commercial results.
This opportunity will suit an accomplished marketer with 10+ years’ experience who is equally comfortable shaping the marketing calendar as they are getting into the detail of campaign execution, CRM, content, suppliers and reporting. The role is office-based five days a week in Surbiton, so candidates must be comfortable working on-site full-time.
The Role
You’ll act as the operational lead across a broad range of consumer marketing activity, working closely with senior leadership, internal teams, external agencies, suppliers and a geographically distributed network of locations. Your responsibilities will include:
Campaign Strategy & Delivery
- Own and manage the overarching marketing and promotional calendar.
- Lead integrated B2C campaigns from briefing and creative development through to execution, optimisation and post-campaign analysis.
- Coordinate activity across CRM, digital, web, social, in-location marketing and promotional collateral.
- Ensure campaigns are delivered effectively across multiple customer touchpoints and trading locations.
- Manage agency and supplier briefs, timelines, budgets and creative deliverables.
- Maintain and update website campaign content and promotional landing pages.
CRM & Customer Marketing
- Lead customer communications across email and SMS.
- Manage audience segmentation, campaign planning, copywriting, execution and performance analysis.
- Use customer insight and behavioural data to improve engagement, retention and commercial performance.
- Work alongside colleagues responsible for automated CRM and digital customer journeys to ensure a consistent customer experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Create clear briefs and ensure work is delivered against agreed objectives, budgets and deadlines.

- Track promotional effectiveness and customer engagement.
- Interpret analytics and management dashboards.
- Measure marketing ROI.
- Produce insight-led recommendations to improve future campaigns.
- Use trading and location-level performance data to identify opportunities.

- Significant experience managing end-to-end integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong CRM and customer marketing experience across email and SMS.

- Strong agency and supplier management experience.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and campaign performance.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence interpreting data.
- Experience using analytics platforms such as GA4, Power BI or similar.
- Comfortable managing web content through platforms such as WordPress or equivalent CMS.

Your Working Style
This isn’t a role for someone who wants to operate purely at strategic level. We need somebody who can set direction and execute.
You’ll need to be comfortable moving between strategic campaign planning, stakeholder management, data analysis and hands-on marketing delivery within the same day.
You’ll be:
- Commercial and customer-focused.
- Highly organised.
- Comfortable working at pace.
- Pragmatic and solutions-orientated.
- Confident managing multiple stakeholders.
- Happy taking ownership without significant supervision.
- Able to quickly understand an established business and hit the ground running.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager or Senior Marketing Manager to step into a highly visible role within an established B2C organisation.
You’ll have significant ownership across the marketing calendar, CRM, campaigns, customer communications, events and multi-site marketing activity, while working closely with the senior marketing leadership team.
