Marketing Manager
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Central London (Bloomsbury)
Salary: £53,250 per annum, with excellent benefits including 25 days holiday, private healthcare, leisure travel insurance, health & wellbeing allowance, interest-free season ticket loan and cycle-to-work scheme
Hours: 35 hours per week; hybrid working (2-3 days in the office per week)
The Food and Drink Federation is looking for a Marketing Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of integrated marketing activity across membership, commercial, events, policy and wider organisational priorities. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will translate strategic objectives into clear, audience-focused campaigns that build FDF’s profile, demonstrate member value, drive engagement, generate leads and support commercial growth.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced marketing professional who enjoys working across teams, developing engaging campaigns and using insight, data and performance reporting to improve impact.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across membership, commercial, events, policy and corporate priorities, ensuring activity is aligned to FDF’s strategy, brand and audience objectives.
- Develop clear campaign plans, messaging frameworks, content briefs and channel plans to support member acquisition, retention, engagement and commercial income.
- Work closely with colleagues across digital, membership, commercial, events, policy, communications and corporate affairs to ensure marketing activity is coordinated, timely and effective.
- Lead day-to-day campaign delivery across email, social media, web, events marketing, digital content, paid activity and supporting collateral.
- Strengthen FDF’s brand consistency by ensuring marketing materials are clear, professional, audience-led and aligned to agreed tone of voice and visual identity.
- Use audience insight, CRM data, campaign performance and digital analytics to improve targeting, engagement, conversion and return on investment.
- Produce or oversee high-quality marketing content, including campaign copy, email content, web copy, social media content, presentations and promotional materials.
- Manage marketing timelines, budgets, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure activity is delivered to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
- Provide clear reporting on campaign performance, highlighting results, learning, risks and recommendations for future optimisation.
- Support and develop marketing team members by providing coaching, feedback, advice, encouragement and oversight on projects and tasks.

Requirements
- Experience in planning and delivering marketing campaigns, ideally in a membership, trade association, professional services, B2B or not-for-profit environment.
- Experience of working with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, websites and campaign analytics.
- The ability to write, edit and adapt content for different audiences and communication channels.
- Knowledge of integrated marketing, audience segmentation, digital channels, email marketing, social media and campaign measurement and the principles of brand management.
- Experience of managing multiple projects, priorities, deadlines and stakeholder relationships.
- An understanding of how marketing contributes to income generation, member value and organisational reputation.
- The ability to work collaboratively across teams, maintain clear processes and deliver work to agreed deadlines.
