About the Opportunity
Our client is an ambitious, high-growth recruitment business with an established reputation in specialist markets and a clear vision for the future.
They are now looking for a commercially minded Marketing Manager to take ownership of their brand, marketing strategy and market presence. This is not a role for someone who simply follows a plan. They are looking for an ideas person, a challenger, someone who questions how things have always been done and brings fresh thinking that helps the business stand out in a crowded market.
The successful candidate will play a key role in elevating the brand, driving engagement across multiple audiences, and creating marketing activity that is memorable, impactful and commercially effective.
The Role
This is a hands-on marketing leadership role with responsibility for developing and executing innovative marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, support business growth and enhance market positioning.
You'll have the freedom to test new ideas, challenge conventional recruitment marketing approaches and create campaigns that build genuine visibility and credibility amongst clients, candidates and industry influencers.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you'll drive a marketing function that is creative, commercially focused and constantly evolving.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Market Positioning
- Lead the evolution of the company's brand presence and market reputation
- Develop compelling brand narratives that differentiate the business from competitors
- Identify creative opportunities to increase visibility, engagement and market influence
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints
- Continuously challenge existing approaches and introduce innovative marketing ideas
Content & Thought Leadership
- Develop high-quality, engaging content that builds authority within target markets
- Create and oversee multi-channel campaigns across social media, website, email and digital channels
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to create thought leadership content
- Drive storytelling that showcases expertise, success and market insight
- Introduce content formats that increase engagement and audience growth

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
