About the MPA Group

The Music Publishers Association (MPA) represents and champions the music publishers, songwriters and composers at the heart of the UK's music industry.

The MPA Group also includes:

  • MCPS (Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society) - licensing mechanical rights on behalf of over 45,000 music publishers, songwriters and composers.
  • Printed Music Licensing Limited (PMLL) - delivering collective licensing schemes that enable educational institutions, choirs, amateur groups and other organisations to legally copy printed music while ensuring creators and publishers are rewarded for their work.

Together, we play a vital role in supporting the music publishing ecosystem, advocating for our members and ensuring creators are fairly compensated.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to develop and deliver marketing campaigns across the MPA Group. Reporting to the MPA Managing Director, you'll lead campaign strategy and execution that strengthens awareness, engagement and commercial growth across the Group. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver effective marketing initiatives that support business objectives.

This is a hybrid working role, 3 days in our London office, 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Positioning

  • Develop and deliver the MPA Group's marketing strategy, with focus on supporting commercial objectives and growth ambitions across all three entities.
  • Strengthen awareness and understanding of MCPS licensing services and value proposition.
  • Support the continued growth and profile of PMLL by developing audience-focused marketing strategies and market development plans.
  • Develop audience segmentation strategies and targeted engagement plans across member, licensee and stakeholder groups.
  • Define and evolve market positioning, messaging and brand narratives across MCPS, MPA and PMLL.
  • Ensure marketing activity supports commercial growth, stakeholder engagement and organisational objectives.
  • Work with senior leadership to translate business priorities into effective marketing plans.
  • Identify opportunities to increase awareness, participation and engagement across all MPA Group organisations.

Member & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop campaigns that strengthen relationships with publishers, songwriters, composers, licensees, educators and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager to create targeted communication and engagement plans for different stakeholder groups.
  • Support initiatives that improve understanding of mechanical licensing, copyright and the services delivered across the MPA Group.
  • Promote the value and impact of MCPS, MPA and PMLL through compelling storytelling, insight-driven campaigns and thought leadership.
  • Support member engagement initiatives that improve transparency, understanding and trust.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
