Russells are one of the leading dealerships for Agricultural, Professional Groundcare, Construction and Arboriculture machinery in the UK.

We are recruiting a Marketing Manager to cover for a 12 month period of Maternity Leave, with a start date of 1st November 2026.

Job Summary

A Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote all products, services, or machinery from within the Russell portfolio to assist and drive business growth. The role involves working close with management, sales teams, customers and suppliers, to aid increased market share, improve brand visibility, and maximise profitability. Key responsibilities include conducting market research, sales team support, managing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, and ensuring consistent brand imagery and messaging. The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, coordinate promotional activities such as trade shows and events, and adapting strategies in response to market conditions and customer demand are also very desirable qualities to aid a successful candidate within this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategies: Create and execute marketing plans to support the overall business strategic plan and business zone plans.
  • Sales Team Support: Work closely with sales teams to develop and implement marketing plans for individual business zones.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget and ensure effective allocation of resources.
  • Analyse Market Trends: Conduct market research to identify customer types and target buyers in each business zone.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Build and manage excellent and effective relationships with outside suppliers and agencies where necessary.
  • Manage Content Creation: Work closely with the creative team to develop content strategy to build and implement content calendar.
  • Coordinate Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute marketing campaigns, including advertising, promotions, and public relations initiatives.
  • Monitor Performance: Track and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Support Business Development: Assist in the development of go-to-market plans for major business projects.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • Driving Licence: Full, clean UK driving licence (or equivalent)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Education: Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in:
    • Marketing
    • Business or a related field (Alternatively, relevant work experience in place of formal education may be considered.)

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in marketing with a focus on commercial marketing.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of market trends, pricing, and competitor activity in the agricultural sector.
