Product Marketing Manager

£42,000 - £45,000 plus benefits

Reports to: Product Marketing Senior Manager

Directorate: Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement

Contract: 15 month fixed-term contract

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

Location: Stratford, London Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

About the Role

At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer.

We're looking for a talented Product Marketing Manager to join our Race for Life Marketing team on a 15-month fixed term contract.

In this exciting role, you'll manage 2 direct reports and support the Senior Manager to develop the Race for Life product marketing strategy, plan and budget to achieve the relevant product objectives for Fundraising & Marketing.

This role will help shape and deliver marketing strategies that inspire supporters, drive engagement and maximise fundraising performance. Working collaboratively across teams, you'll create integrated, audience-focused campaigns that make a real impact, while embodying our values of acting with ambition, professionalism, inclusivity and a commitment to improving lives.

What will I be doing?

  • Support the Senior Manager to translate the Fundraising & Marketing proposition plan into an effective product marketing plan and budget.
  • Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of integrated multi-channel campaigns (ATL & BTL), ensuring they achieve and exceed agreed KPIs.
  • Manage the development of compelling campaign content and creative assets, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate across Marketing Delivery, Marketing Planning, Digital Marketing and Performance teams to deliver seamless supporter journeys.
  • Use insight, data and testing to continuously optimise campaign performance and identify new opportunities for audience engagement.
  • Provide leadership and direction to executives, agencies and matrix teams to ensure activity is delivered on time and to budget.

What are we looking for?

  • Significant (at least 18 months) ATL marketing experience, including TV - translating marketing strategy into channel-specific campaign plans, audiences and budgets.
  • Experience in media planning, ensuring channel plans are meeting agreed objectives and managing delivery deadlines.
  • Experience managing web pages, creating content and consistently reviewing web performance to make optimisations.
  • Proven success delivering integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns that achieve measurable results.
  • Strong understanding of supporter or customer journeys and how channels work together to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Experience managing agencies and multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality marketing activity.
  • Experience planning and building email comms and workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using campaign insights and UX principles to optimise performance.
  • Excellent project management, prioritisation and leadership skills, ideally supported by a professional marketing qualification (CIM, IDM or equivalent experience).

Eligibility criteria

Internal candidates should ideally have completed their 6-month ‘getting started’ period before applying for other roles.   • completed their getting started period
  • discussed their intention to apply and gained approval to apply with their line manager
  • been in their substantive (home) role for at least 6 months (this is only applicable if you have previously been on secondment)
