Job Description
Role overview
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract for ‘Marketing Manager – Project Management, Sky Media’. Sky Media is the advertising sales arm of Sky, and the Marketing team is responsible for setting and delivering Sky Media's marketing strategy across the advertising industry.
As ‘Marketing Manager – Project Management’, your role is to ensure that all marketing activity is delivered on time, in budget and with maximum efficiency and to spot and raise flags on capacity or other issues before they arise. You will work in close partnership with Marketing Program Managers who will set strategy and requirement for multiple marketing plans and you will ensure those plans run smoothly and are delivered on time by a capability layer that covers content, digital & social, events and creative resource.
The role requires someone who is all over the detail, capable of running multiple projects at the same time and who manages their time, and that of others, with precision and expertise.
What You'll Do
Consolidated delivery view
- Maintain a single view of all activity across every programme - what is committed, what is in flight, what is at risk.
- Own the critical path for each programme and the dependencies between them.
- Make the view a standing artefact that anyone can consult, not a report produced on request.
Delivery discipline
- Run the operating rhythm: planning sessions, status reviews, the prioritisation forum's inputs and outputs, and post-delivery reviews.
- Hold the briefing, scheduling, review and approval process and make sure it is actually followed.
- Track deliverables against agreed dates and chase them without becoming the reason people avoid the process.
Risk and escalation
- Identify delivery risk early and escalate it against defined triggers.
- Escalate directly to the Marketing Controller and Head of Marketing where a trigger is met.
- Maintain a live view of capability workload with the Marketing Controller and flag overcommitment before it becomes attrition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
