Marketing Manager – Hospitality & Lifestyle Brand

Full-Time | North London

We are looking for a creative, commercially minded Marketing Manager to take ownership of the marketing strategy and day-to-day marketing activity for a busy and growing hospitality business.

This is a hands-on role. We are not looking for someone who simply manages agencies or produces marketing plans. We want someone who can develop the strategy, create great content, execute campaigns, organise events and partnerships, manage the marketing budget and then measure what actually worked.

Social media will be a major part of the role, so the successful candidate must genuinely understand how to create content that people want to watch, share and engage with — particularly across Instagram and TikTok.

We're looking for someone at an early-to-mid stage of their marketing career who already has meaningful professional experience. This isn't intended as a first graduate role; we want someone ready to take ownership of a brand and its marketing activity.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall marketing strategy, working directly with senior management and the restaurant team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Marketing Strategy & Brand

  • Develop the annual and quarterly marketing strategy and campaign calendar.
  • Translate commercial objectives into practical marketing activity.
  • Develop campaigns to increase awareness, customer acquisition, repeat visits and engagement.
  • Protect and develop the visual identity, tone of voice and overall positioning of the brand.
  • Identify new opportunities to build the brand both digitally and physically.

Social Media & Content

  • Take day-to-day ownership of the brand's social media channels.
  • Develop the social media content strategy and calendar.
  • Create engaging short-form content for Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
  • Be comfortable shooting content yourself in the restaurant using a phone or camera, rather than relying entirely on external photographers or agencies.
  • Film food, drinks, staff, events and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Edit and publish Reels, TikToks, Stories and other social content.
  • Write appropriate captions and campaign copy.
  • Identify trends quickly and determine which are appropriate for the brand.
  • Develop recurring content formats rather than relying on one-off posts.
  • Manage community engagement and responses.
  • Coordinate professional photography and videography where appropriate.
  • Manage paid social campaigns and targeted advertising.
  • Track reach, engagement, follower growth, conversion and campaign performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Events, Pop-Ups & Partnerships

  • Develop and deliver events, activations and pop-ups that generate awareness and footfall.
  • Identify relevant brand collaborations and partnership opportunities.
  • Build relationships with complementary brands, local businesses and other potential partners.
  • Coordinate influencer and creator activity where commercially appropriate.
  • Develop launch events, seasonal campaigns and special promotions.
  • Ensure activity generates useful content and measurable marketing value rather than simply creating an event for its own sake.

In-Restaurant Marketing

  • Develop in-store campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Work with the operational team on new menu launches, drinks launches, seasonal campaigns and special events.
  • Ensure menus, signage and customer-facing marketing materials are consistent with the brand.
  • Identify opportunities to convert existing restaurant traffic into repeat customers.
  • Develop ways of capturing and using first-party customer data appropriately.

Direct & Digital Marketing

  • Develop email and direct marketing campaigns.
  • Build customer segmentation and targeted communications.
  • Support CRM and customer retention initiatives.
  • Develop campaigns designed to encourage customers to return rather than focusing solely on acquiring new followers.
  • Manage appropriate digital advertising and retargeting campaigns.

Budget & Commercial Management

  • Manage the agreed marketing budget.
  • Allocate expenditure between content, paid social, advertising, events, partnerships, creators and other channels.
  • Maintain clear records of marketing expenditure.
  • Evaluate the performance of campaigns and marketing channels.
  • Report regularly to senior management on activity, results and planned campaigns.
  • Develop measurable KPIs for marketing activity.
  • Continuously assess what marketing activity is actually driving engagement, bookings, visits and revenue.
  • Stop or change activity that isn't delivering results and increase investment in activity that is.

Who We're Looking For

This role would suit someone who has already built a strong foundation in marketing and now wants considerably more ownership. You might currently be a Marketing Executive, Senior Marketing Executive, Social Media Manager, Brand Executive or Assistant Marketing Manager and feel ready to take responsibility for the complete marketing function. Ideally, you will have around 2–5 years of relevant professional experience, although we're more interested in what you've actually done than the number of years on your CV. Hospitality, restaurant, food & beverage, lifestyle, fashion or consumer-brand experience would be particularly relevant.

You should be:

  • Highly creative but commercially minded.
  • Very strong on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Naturally interested in content and social media.
  • Comfortable appearing behind the camera and directing others in front of it.
  • Able to shoot and edit good-quality social content yourself.
  • Visually aware with a good understanding of branding.
  • A strong copywriter.
  • Organised enough to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Comfortable managing budgets.
  • Able to analyse performance data and make decisions from it.
  • Confident working with senior management.
  • Comfortable working independently rather than waiting to be given a marketing brief.
  • Interested in restaurants, food, drink, culture and consumer trends.

Experience with tools such as Meta Ads Manager, TikTok, Canva, CapCut/Adobe, email/CRM platforms and analytics tools would be beneficial.

What Success Looks Like

We don't want marketing activity simply for the sake of being active. Success in this role means creating a recognisable and engaging brand, producing consistently strong content, growing the right audience, increasing customer engagement and ultimately helping drive people into the restaurant.

You will be expected to build a marketing function where we can increasingly understand:

  • What did we spend? → What did we do? → Who did we reach? → What happened as a result? As our management reporting develops, we intend to establish more detailed marketing KPIs and attribution measures. These will be developed using reliable baseline data rather than arbitrary targets.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to take ownership of marketing for an established, high-volume hospitality business while it is entering its next stage of growth. You'll have significant freedom to develop ideas, create content, experiment with campaigns and shape how the brand presents itself.

We want someone with the energy and creativity of a strong content marketer, but with the ambition and commercial awareness to develop into someone capable of running the entire marketing function as the business expands.
