We’re Blind Veterans UK, a charity that helps vision-impaired ex-service people from every generation rebuild their lives after their sight has been affected. Founded in 1915 by Sir Arthur Pearson to help the many veterans losing their sight during the First World War, we have over a century of experience providing the very best care and support.
Since then, we’ve supported tens of thousands of vision-impaired veterans, helping them regain their independence and providing the tools, skills and confidence they need to lead fulfilling, active lives.
We’re one transformational team that believes every vision-impaired veteran should be able to lead the life they choose.
We are now looking for a Marketing Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week.

The Role
As Marketing Manager, you will lead marketing activity to raise awareness, drive engagement and support our engagement strategy and wider strategic objectives.
With a particular focus on print and offline channels, you will oversee the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring they effectively reach and engage target audiences.
You will also manage the charity’s brand as it relates to print channels, ensuring consistency, quality and accessibility across all communications. Alongside this, you will manage our Case Study Lead and Content Writer, supporting the development of our content strategy.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage print procurement, supplier relationships and contracts
- Oversee the production, distribution and fulfilment of marketing materials
- Use audience insights and research to inform marketing decisions
- Co-ordinate corporate publications, including the Annual Report and Impact Report
- Monitor marketing performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure marketing materials meet accessibility and compliance requirements
- Represent the charity at relevant conferences and events
About You
To be considered as a Marketing Manager, you will need:
- Experience of planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print and offline channels
- Experience of print procurement, fulfilment, purchasing, supplier management, contract management and negotiation
- Experience of gathering and using audience insights, performance data and evaluation to inform marketing activity
- A strong understanding of brand and marketing theory and practice, including how to develop, monitor and apply brand guidelines and tone of voice
- Strong planning, project management and budget management skills
- Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- The ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, using tact, diplomacy and emotional intelligence
- Meticulous attention to detail and a creative, resourceful and resilient approach
