Marketing Manager – International events & media
£50k + bonus (c£5k OTE)
Central London – Hybrid
Ark is exclusively partnering with an established international media and events business serving the global maritime, ports and logistics sector.
Following a period of transformation and growth, the business is investing heavily in its commercial team and looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to drive revenue across digital media, editorial partnerships, content solutions and international events.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong delivery focused and strategic minded marketing professional who enjoys working across different projects, driving event attendance, branding and supporting clients with digital solutions, working closely with sales, editorial and event delivery teams.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the marketing, across their 3 global conferences, driving delegate attendance and sponsorship attraction campaigns, genuinely adding to the revenue generated for each event.
This role will also see you supporting and adding your marketing insight for the editorial, media and digital solutions side of the business, thinking strategically about you can support the growth and add value across those divisions too.
What you'll be doing:-
- Own and deliver the marketing strategy, with a particular focus on driving delegate registrations, attendance and engagement across the events and webinars.
- Plan and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns from initial idea through to delivery, continually reviewing performance and looking for ways to improve results.
- Work closely with the commercial, operations and editorial teams to align marketing activity, support sales and ensure campaigns, content launches and sponsor deliverables are delivered effectively.
- Develop a strong understanding of audience and data, using insight to grow and segment the database and target the right markets and job functions.
- Lead email marketing activity, using segmentation, A/B testing and performance data to improve engagement and conversions.
- Oversee digital presence across website, social media and paid campaigns, identifying opportunities to improve engagement, SEO and conversion.
- Work closely with the designer and wider team to develop high-quality marketing collateral across events, campaigns, social media, email and sales activity.
- Promote the company’s editorial output, including journals, news and insight content, to grow readership, subscribers and engagement.
- Track, analyse and report on campaign performance, using data and market insight to shape future strategy and demonstrate ROI.
- Represent the business key industry events, with occasional international travel involved (Europe, US & Asia)
- Work with external agencies, freelancers and partners where required.

About You

- 4+ years' experience in Events Marketing, ideally international conferences
- Experience working alongside editorial teams, or within a media focused business would be beneficial but not essential
- Proven track record of delivering audience and attendance growth for events
- Experience using HubSpot would be a huge plus!
- Hands on, ideas person with a strategic mindset
- Excellent communication, presentation and personal skills – able to work with key stakeholders internally and externally!
- Sector experience within maritime, logistics, transport or technology is advantageous but not essential.
- We're particularly interested in candidates from media, publishing, events, digital marketing, business intelligence or B2B information services backgrounds.
