Marketing Manager
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to run nPlan's marketing across an exciting channel mix: your remit will include account-based marketing (ABM), events, content, social, email - and you’ll be the product owner for our website.
A hands-on role with broad ownership across the full marketing mix
Generous equity in an early-stage, top Google Ventures-backed startup
Part of the Growth team, reporting to the VP of Growth
Join nPlan - build the cities of the future
We're nPlan, a Series B startup backed by leading investors, including Google Ventures. Our technology helps the world's biggest construction projects make faster, more confident, data-driven decisions. Our customers are the largest owner/operators of energy, utility and mass transit in the world, such as Chevron, Network Rail and National Grid.
By combining one of the world's largest datasets of project plans with advanced machine learning, we forecast project outcomes and reduce risk, reshaping how major construction and infrastructure projects are built. In the last couple of years we’ve also developed best-in-class Generative AI technologies for capital project plan creation and reporting, cementing our position as the AI company for major project controls and delivery.
The role
You will own the planning and delivery of nPlan's marketing programmes. You'll be part of the Growth team alongside product marketing and our BDRs, and report to the VP of Growth.
The role is broad. In a given week you might:
- Write a blog and LinkedIn post
- Create some account-specific content
- Organise our attendance at an industry event
- Review email campaign data and send out our newsletter
- Work on a customer case study
You won't have direct reports. You will manage a bench of freelance designers and video production partners, plus our AEO (answer engine optimisation) partner. You'll need to brief well, hold people to deadlines and quality, and know when to do the work yourself.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for
For this role, we're looking for someone with:
- 3–5 years in marketing roles in B2B SaaS. This is a must.
- Excellent writing. You'll produce much of our content yourself, from LinkedIn posts and emails to web copy, articles and press releases. You should be able to turn technical subject matter into clear, confident copy for senior buyers.
- A generalist's range. You're comfortable moving between ABM, events, content, social, email, performance marketing and PR, and you know how each contributes to pipeline.
- Experience managing external partners. This covers freelancers, agencies and specialist vendors: briefing them, reviewing their work and getting good output from them.
- A genuine interest in the problem we solve. Our customers deliver railways, power networks and energy infrastructure. You'll need to care about their world and how they talk about it.
- A preference for accountability and agency. You want to own outcomes, not tasks. You'll be given a wide remit and trusted to run it. If you prefer a narrowly defined role with a large team or agency doing the execution, this may not be the right fit.
- Attention to detail, which you will be able to demonstrate by mentioning the word 'crane' in your application.
We care more about potential and drive than perfection. If you're hardworking, creative and excited by what we're building, we want to hear from you.
We need someone to:
- Run ABM programmes, coordinating campaigns and multi-channel touches across target accounts with the BDR and Sales teams.
- Plan and deliver events, from trade shows and conferences to workshops, including stand prep, promotion and post-event follow-up.
- Create content that builds nPlan's authority in construction and infrastructure risk: articles, case studies, guides and videos.
- Own our LinkedIn presence and email marketing, producing a regular cadence of posts and campaigns that reach the right people.
- Manage limited performance marketing campaigns, running paid campaigns aimed at specific organisations, and reporting on what they return.
- Drive PR, including press releases, announcements, awards and industry submissions.
- Manage and improve the nPlan website on Webflow, keeping it current and converting.
- Manage our AEO partner so that nPlan shows up where buyers are increasingly searching.
- Brief and manage freelance designers and video production partners to a consistent standard.
- Measure what works. Track performance by channel and campaign, and use it to decide where effort goes next.
