We don’t want you to sell. We want you to care for your clients and help them find the right support – right from searching on ChatGPT to speaking on the phone. If you believe client satisfaction and your own personal fulfilment should come ahead of relentless sales targets and call dashboards… We’re on the same page. Farnworth Rose are looking for a New Business and Marketing Executive to join our team in the Nelson head office. We do not want a salesperson or a behind the scenes marketer; we want a people-person who values rapport building, attention to detail and helping collaborate as a team.

Fewer Interruptions

We know what burns New Business Executives out - constant pressure to hit targets and the stress of outdated, clunky systems- so we’ve built a structure to fix that. This includes:

  • Experienced support and guidance: We have an experienced team waiting to welcome and support you, with frequent structured 1-1 meetings and as much ad-hoc support as you need from people in your team.
  • Award winning technology: We have a modern sales and marketing platform that’s award-winning and AI-powered. This is the tool you’ll be using and helping to shape.
  • Confidence and safety: You will have clear responsibility and control over your work, supported by strong processes and an open‑door culture that ensures the team is always available to help. You’ll have the freedom to manage your tasks independently, while still feeling fully supported.

Real Career Mobility

We don’t believe in dead ends. We have a proven internal talent stream and ambitious growth targets as a business - this means that we plan to grow quickly and need our team to grow with us.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About The Role

This post is available due to our exciting growth plans. You’ll be part of our central New Business Team (marketing, business development and new sales) in our head office and work closely with our Legal Support Team and Head of Marketing and Business Development. Clients turn to solicitors in times of need.

You will be helping make sure Farnworth Rose is present online where people look for solicitors and then given the pricing structures and service options to help them when they get in touch. Your role will be to assure the client they’ve come to the right place and they can trust us and then give them the cost.

This role is roughly 50% marketing and 50% enquiry handling. You will own your own digital marketing campaigns to help generate enquiries and then also own a managed amount of incoming enquiries through to onboarding too.

About You

You’re a people-person first and foremost. This is not a cold-call or traditional sales role – it’s quite the opposite. You’re more likely to enjoy making a repeat client a cup of tea when they visit than convincing a random person to sign up. Your mindset puts the client first and aligns with our ‘WE CARE’ behaviours (always being Welcoming, Engaging, Compassionate, Amiable, Reassuring and Empathetic) for your teammates as well as our clients. And you expect the same in return. You have a keen attention to detail to make sure your client and colleagues get the right information in a timely manner and like to stay organised with your own to-do lists and ways of working.

When it comes to marketing experience, you've got verifiable professional experience in at least a couple of modern digital marketing streams. You don't need to have mastered everything but have gained exposure to modern digital marketing.

Ideally, you can share your experience working on any of these: YouTube optimisation; Google Ads; automated email marketing; producing EEAT content; how you use LLMs to produce long-form content.

You also want a role that brings personal fulfilment and an opportunity to grow and help those around you do the same, not just a paycheque.

Ready for a firm that values you? If you are looking for a role where you can progress your career while enjoying a positive culture and genuine support, apply today.
