Marketing Officer – Events
Location: Benfleet, Essex
Pay Rate: £16.30 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (4 days per week)
Contract: Temporary until 29th October 2026
Are you a creative and organised marketing professional with a passion for events? Do you have experience bringing events to life, creating engaging marketing materials and communicating with a wide range of audiences?
Key Responsibilities
- Plan College events from conception through to completion.
- Coordinate Open Evenings, Graduation Ceremonies, Student Awards and other promotional activities.
- Create and develop marketing collateral, publications, prospectuses and event literature.
- Produce engaging internal and external communications across a variety of channels.
- Liaise with internal teams, external stakeholders and event attendees to ensure successful delivery.
- Monitor event effectiveness, manage attendee databases and support student recruitment and conversion activities.
- Manage event budgets, timelines and marketing materials.
- Support social media activity and make effective use of photography, video and digital content.
- Ensure all marketing materials and campus displays reflect the College’s brand and standards.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- A minimum of two years experience in marketing and/or events management.
- Proven experience organising and delivering events from start to finish.
- Experience developing marketing materials and creating engaging written content.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a creative, proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Confidence building relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Good IT skills, with experience using databases and social media platforms.
- A flexible approach to working, including occasional evenings, early mornings and weekends.
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport.
