Education Training Foundation (ETF) is the workforce development body for the Further Education and Skills sector, focused on strengthening technical and vocational education across the country. Its mission is to ensure the sector has world-class teachers, trainers, assessors, and leaders, leading to improved learner outcomes and a better skilled workforce. ETF drives quality by setting and promoting professional standards, awarding QTLS and ATS, and managing the Society for Education and Training, the professional membership body for the sector. The organization supports the sector through reform and change, leads professional and workforce development, and serves as a trusted source of independent, impartial workforce data and research. Team members contribute directly to enhancing education, supporting economic growth, and advancing society.
Role Description
The Marketing Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in London. This position is responsible for planning and delivering marketing campaigns that promote ETF’s programs, services, and initiatives to key audiences across the Further Education and Skills sector. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Creating and managing content for digital and print channels
- Coordinating email and social media campaigns
- Supporting events and stakeholder engagement activities

The Marketing Officer collaborates with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging, assists in developing marketing materials and collateral, and contributes to brand development and visibility. The role also involves:
- Market research
- Audience insight gathering
- Reporting on activity to inform future marketing strategies and support organizational goals
Qualifications
- Strong marketing skills, including campaign planning, audience segmentation, and brand development.
- Experience with digital marketing tools and channels, such as social media management, email marketing platforms, and basic analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content for different audiences.
- Organizational and project management abilities, including managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in education, non-profit, or public sector marketing is beneficial, as is familiarity with the Further Education and Skills landscape.
- Proficiency with standard office and collaboration software (e.g., MS Office, CRM or marketing automation tools) and a willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Relevant qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
