ABOUT FIZZBUG
FizzBug is a dynamic, Ofsted registered childcare company operating across multiple locations in Hertfordshire, specialising in creating unique, inspiring experiences for children aged 0–11.
Our services span a wide range of childcare provision, including crèche facilities, Breakfast and After School Clubs, Holiday Camps, and seasonal events – ensuring families have trusted, enriching care throughout the year.

THE ROLE
Reporting to company’s managers, this role plays a key part in executing FizzBug’s overarching communications strategy – spanning marketing, and both internal and external communications.
You’ll work across FizzBug’s key marketing initiatives, from social media posting and planning, to newsletter creation and digital content, to securing and maintaining local partnerships.
Key responsibilities:
- Social media management: Take ownership of FizzBug’s social channels including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Creating posts, planning and scheduling uploads, and monitoring engagement and activity,
- Newsletter creation: Develop, build and send weekly newsletters to the FizzBug community via Mailchimp, including banners, copy, images and links.
- Partnership research, support and outreach: Identify and research partnership opportunities with other local businesses and organisations (i.e. leisure providers, schools, community facilities, childcare and product businesses). Create outreach materials to help build & maintain relationships with potential partners.
- Strategy support: Support leadership team with developing quarterly and annual marketing strategy. Contribute proactive, strategic ideas that support commercial objectives, and optimise content for audience growth.
- Digital Marketing and collateral creation: Design social media posts, digital assets (banners and flags), and newsletter artwork using Canva and InDesign.
- External Communications: Create copy and imagery to send out to partners and communities to advertise FizzBug’s services (i.e. schools, leisure centres, Facebook groups)
- Content Capture: Visit FizzBug’s school and Leisure Centre locations to capture content for Instagram posts and reels, including photos and video of key camp, creche, and after-school club sites.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Essential:
- An excellent communicator with strong writing and storytelling skills, able to write compelling newsletter and social media copy
- High attention to detail, with a drive to deliver work to a high standard
- A confident and organised individual, with capability to generate ideas and initiatives and influence senior leadership
- A strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture, and create promotional content that’s effective and successful
- Proactive and collaborative, comfortable working as part of a team alongside graphic designers and website engineers
- Around 1-2 years’ experience in marketing/communications, or a degree in a related subject
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Google Docs, Instagram and Facebook; familiarity with Canva, Mailchimp and InDesign is a bonus
Desirable:
- An undergraduate degree in any subject (marketing, communications or business preferred)
- Prior experience in marketing, communications, business development or administration
- A keen interest in social media and marketing, with a genuine desire to learn
