The vacancy
Are you a creative and organised marketing professional who enjoys engaging with different audiences and making a meaningful impact? This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marketing team at North Lindsey College and help raise the profile of the College, University Campus North Lincolnshire and the Humber Energy Skills Training Academy (HESTA).
As a Marketing Officer, you will support a wide range of marketing activities designed to attract prospective students, engage current students and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation and external partners, you will help deliver campaigns, events, digital content and communications that support student recruitment and community engagement.
This role offers the chance to contribute to projects that showcase opportunities available through further and higher education, helping learners make informed decisions about their future while supporting the organisation’s wider marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning, delivery and review of marketing activities and campaigns.
- Create and implement marketing campaigns in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, media contacts, students, staff and other stakeholders.
- Develop engaging content for social media platforms and manage day-to-day social media activity, including responding to enquiries.
- Set up and support digital marketing campaigns targeted to different audiences and objectives.
- Plan, support, deliver and evaluate events throughout the academic year, including open days and student awards.
- Produce press releases, articles, features and other communications to help promote the organisation.
- Monitor, analyse and evaluate marketing activity, using insights to improve future campaigns.
- Support the wider Marketing team with day-to-day marketing and communication activities.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified to degree level, ideally in marketing or public relations, with GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
- Experience working in a marketing, communications or related role, alongside customer service experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging content.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- IT literacy, a collaborative approach to team working and a willingness to work flexibly when required.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Experience working within the education or public sector.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
- Salary: £27,944 - £30,468 Grade 4 per annum
- Contract Type: Fixed term until December 2027 (Maternity Cover)
- Hours: Full time, 35.5 hours per week
- Working Weeks: 52 weeks per year
- Location: North Lindsey College
- Reporting Line: Marketing Team Leader
- Core Working Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 4:00pm on Friday. Flexibility around working patterns may be agreed with your line manager to meet business needs.

The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft.
