About the University

At Manchester Met, we are ambitious, inclusive, and focused on impact. We work collaboratively as one University to tell clear, engaging stories, build a strong reputation, and support students to transform their lives. Together, we are shaping futures locally and globally.

We have been named Modern University of the Year for the second consecutive year, recognised as an Outstanding Workplace, and ranked the number one sustainable university for a record-breaking fourth year. Our commitment to people, progress, and purpose shapes how we work and what we deliver.

About the Role

We are recruiting for three Marketing Officer positions in the Future Students Marketing team:

  • x2 Marketing Officer (Permanent) – supporting undergraduate and postgraduate student recruitment for the Faculty of Health and Education.
  • x1 Marketing Officer (12-month fixed-term contract) – supporting postgraduate student recruitment for the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

You will work closely with colleagues across External Relations and the Faculty supporting undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment through targeted, insight-led marketing activity in a competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Working with the Marketing Manager for either the Faculty of Science and Engineering or Faculty of Health and Education, you will plan and deliver recruitment marketing that supports the Future Students strategy and faculty objectives.

  • Plan and deliver strategic and tactical marketing activity for either undergraduate or postgraduate recruitment in the Faculty.
  • Manage a varied subject portfolio and create content that supports applicants at different stages of the recruitment journey.
  • Lead marketing campaigns and projects, coordinating activity across teams and channels.
  • Deliver and manage digital marketing activity, including PPC and display advertising.
  • Produce high-quality, audience-focused content for digital and offline channels, ensuring brand, accessibility, and quality standards are met.
  • Manage and update sections of the University website using the CMS to improve usability and performance.
  • Support recruitment events and conversion activity in collaboration with faculty and Future Students colleagues.
  • Use insight, data, and reporting to evaluate activity and inform future planning.
  • Act as a brand champion, ensuring consistent, accurate, and compliant use of the Manchester Met brand.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
