M-SParc is Wales's first dedicated Science Park and a wholly owned subsidiary of Bangor University. From our headquarters on Anglesey, we support businesses, entrepreneurs, researchers and communities to develop ideas, create opportunities and grow the economy of North Wales.

Our team of more than 35 people delivers business support, innovation and skills programmes across Wales, while supporting around 50 resident businesses and a growing network of virtual tenants.

We work with organisations including Bangor University, the Intellectual Property Office, Football Association of Wales, the National Eisteddfod, Welsh Government and a wide range of businesses, charities and public sector partners to deliver projects that make a practical difference to people and communities.

As Marketing Officer, you'll be responsible for ensuring those projects, opportunities and success stories reach the right audiences through clear, engaging and effective communications.

The Marketing Officer will lead the planning and delivery of M-SParc's marketing and communications activity, creating engaging bilingual campaigns and content that promote opportunities, celebrate innovation, and strengthen M-SParc's reputation as a leading hub for enterprise, skills and technology in North Wales. This encompasses the sub-brands including Creative North and Sgil Sparc.

Working closely with colleagues, partners and stakeholders, the post-holder will identify stories worth telling and ensure they reach the right audiences through creative, effective and measurable marketing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
