Description
We’re excited to be recruiting a Marketing Officer to join our team here at Bath Spa University. If you are looking for a role that will allow you to add your own stamp to a marketing campaign, this could be the job for you.
About the Role
Part of the Future Students department, you’ll play a key role in the planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing activity for Bath Spa University and our BSU academic schools in line with overarching objectives. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing professional who brings their current skills and passion - with a willingness to develop and grow with us.
- Proven marketing experience
- Comfortable interacting with stakeholders across the University (from Academic staff to current students) to find opportunities for marketing and promotion by building relationships with them
- Drawing on your knowledge of marketing across various digital platforms, you’ll be able to think creatively and contribute ideas to constantly improve our campaigns and planning across the recruitment cycle
- An excellent communicator, you will be skilled at creating content for different audiences and outlets - including copywriting, print, web and digital content – and have a keen eye for detail
- Organised, adaptable, creative, and able to manage your own time and projects

Additional Information
Salary Grade 5 - Starting from £29,588 rising to £33,002 per annum
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Additional information:
- The nature of the role means that some evening and weekend working may be required. The arrangement of working hours will be agreed in advance with the post’s line manager.
- Interview Date - 15th October 2026
- Please note that as of April 2024, there has been a change in the UK’s sponsorship threshold. Regrettably as the salary for this role falls beneath this, you will not be eligible for sponsorship therefore your application will automatically be rejected.
