I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This is a data-first role, not a campaign or creative marketing one - we're looking for someone who's genuinely energised by digging into data and turning it into analysis, not just pulling numbers. You don't need a marketing background to thrive here; candidates from Sales Ops, RevOps, FP&A or similar data-heavy, commercial functions are just as good a fit as those from a marketing analytics background.
A typical day will include:
- Owning the preparation and delivery of weekly, monthly and quarterly sales and marketing performance reports
- Maintaining recurring dashboards and reports within Marketing's single source of truth reporting, and ensuring clear documentation and accessibility
- Performing data-quality checks across our data sources to ensure accurate reporting
- Building reports within Salesforce CRM to answer ad hoc questions on product- or campaign-level performance
- Leveraging CRM, BI, attribution tools and AI to analyse complex data and configure dashboards for other departments and stakeholders
- Analysing programme results against KPIs to identify trends and ensure programmes are measured correctly
- Delivering actionable insights on marketing performance, particularly to our Demand Generation team
- Independently handling incoming data requests, escalating only the more complex projects
This role is a fit for you if:
- You already have strong Excel skills - comfortable building formulas and navigating spreadsheets without needing to learn the basics
- You have a genuine interest in reporting and data, more than in campaign execution or the creative side of marketing
- You're eager to use AI tools to make your analysis faster and better, and are quick to pick up new systems
- You like solving complex problems with moving targets, and enjoy digging deeper rather than just handing back final numbers
- You can manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- You have strong communication skills and enjoy working cross-functionally
- A plus: experience with Salesforce, Snowflake, Marketo, Tableau or similar tools - though these can be taught
