The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to help Zopa build a world-class marketing operation that enables our ambitious growth plans.
Acting as the connective tissue between strategy and execution, you’ll work across Marketing, Product and the wider business to turn our biggest priorities into integrated plans, aligned resources and high-quality delivery. You’ll have a broad view across the Marketing function, helping us decide where to focus, anticipate what’s coming and ensure teams are set up to deliver brilliantly.
This is a role with real scope and autonomy. You’ll help shape and steer some of Zopa’s biggest campaigns and product launches, while also helping us build a Marketing operation that can scale with the business. You’ll bring together specialist teams, agencies and senior stakeholders, connecting the dots across priorities, investment and delivery to make sure we’re focused on the work that will have the greatest impact.
We’re looking for someone who combines a strategic Marketing perspective with outstanding operational leadership. Someone who can see the bigger picture, understand what great Marketing looks like and then create the clarity, momentum and accountability needed to make it happen.
Core Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Product Marketing to translate business, Product and Marketing strategy into integrated Marketing plans, ensuring activity is aligned to clear commercial and customer outcomes.
- Shape and steer major campaigns and product launches, owning the end-to-end planning and orchestration across Marketing, Comms, Growth, Product, Finance, Legal and Compliance.
- Act as the operational hub for Marketing, creating clarity around priorities, team capacity, dependencies, timelines, budgets and delivery milestones across multiple concurrent initiatives. This includes supporting quarterly OKR and annual strategy processes.
- Partner with channel owners to align campaign objectives, media plans, creative development and delivery schedules, driving accountability and high-quality execution across Marketing.
- Work closely with Product teams to understand roadmaps, launch requirements and delivery cycles, ensuring Marketing is effectively embedded in cross-functional planning and execution.
- Maintain a forward-looking view across Marketing, anticipating risks, dependencies and trade-offs and bringing together the right people to resolve them before they affect delivery.
- Bring strong commercial discipline to Marketing investment, maintaining visibility of forecasts, committed spend and remaining budget and partnering with Finance to support prioritisation and decision-making.
- Partner with internal creative teams and external agencies to develop strong briefs, steer feedback and ensure work is delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Ideal Candidate
- You bring a strategic Marketing perspective to planning and execution, understanding not only what needs to be delivered, but why it matters and what great looks like.
- You have significant experience in Marketing, campaign management, Marketing Operations or programme leadership, with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional Marketing initiatives from strategy through to execution.
- You understand the wider Marketing ecosystem and how disciplines such as PR, social, ATL, paid media, partnerships, CRM, web, app and lifecycle come together to create impact.
- You have meaningful experience working with external agencies and can confidently brief, steer and challenge partners to get to the strongest outcome.
- You’re commercially minded and comfortable managing Marketing budgets and forecasts, using financial information and data to inform prioritisation and decisions.
- You naturally think several steps ahead: working backwards from outcomes, spotting dependencies and anticipating what needs to happen before others have to ask.
- You can move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on execution and have the judgement to distinguish between simply getting something delivered and getting it delivered well.
- You’re an excellent communicator and influencer who can bring together senior leaders, Marketing specialists and cross-functional partners, create accountability and move decisions forward.
- You thrive in a fast-moving, high-autonomy environment, absorbing context quickly, adapting when priorities change and bringing structure to ambiguity.
- Experience in a scaled, product-led business is highly desirable. Experience within fintech, financial services or another regulated industry is advantageous but not essential.

Flexible Ways of Working
At Zopa we value flexible ways of working. We value face-to-face collaboration and a good work-life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week. You'll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!* But no matter where you are, we’ll make sure you’ve got everything you need to thrive, both in your work and home life, from day one. *Subject to having the right to work in the country of choice
Diversity Statement
Zopa is proud to offer a workplace free from discrimination. Diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds leads to better products for our customers and a unique company culture for our people. We are made up of nearly 50 nationalities, have a DE&I forum made up of Zopians wanting to make a difference and we are proud of our culture where everyone can bring their full self to work. Our approach to DE&I is reflected in our hiring process so please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments.
Our Approach to AI in Interviews
At Zopa, AI isn't something we're testing out — it's part of how we work every day. As a proud partner of Jobs 2030, we're committed to building AI fluency across our workforce, and we expect Zopians to use AI as part of how they do their jobs.
Because of that, we want to be transparent about how we think about AI use during our hiring process.
Behavioural and Competency-Based Interviews
Please don't use AI. These conversations are designed to understand you — your experiences, your judgment, and how you've approached real situations. An AI-generated answer can't tell us that. What it can do is get in the way of us finding out whether we're the right fit for each other.
Technical Interviews
It depends on the role. Some technical stages actively welcome AI use, others don't. Your Talent Partner will let you know what's expected at each stage. Where AI is part of the assessment, we'll be interested not just in the outcome, but in how you used it – the tools you chose, your reasoning, and the decisions you made along the way.
