Who is Red Flag Alert?

Red Flag Alert is a Manchester-based business intelligence and risk platform. We hold live data on every UK company and use it to tell our clients three things: who to sell to, who to onboard, and who is about to fail. Our insolvency prediction, company credit, KYB, AML screening and identity verification products are used by businesses that cannot afford to be wrong about who they do business with.

Clients include Kier, Huws Gray and Stark in construction, Close Brothers, Santander and iwoca in financial services, RSM, AAB and Sedulo in accountancy, and DWF and Kennedys in legal.

The business is scaling fast, and marketing is being built from the ground up around that: new leadership, a market-leading product, and a blank sheet to build the engine that turns real demand into pipeline. This role joins at the start of that build, not at the end of it.

The Role

Think of yourself as the engine room. Somebody has to make HubSpot behave, keep the data clean, and know exactly who's worth chasing before Sales even picks up the phone — that's you. You'll own the MarTech stack end to end: administration, workflows, integrations, data governance, and a lead scoring model that actually tells people who's worth talking to. You'll also build and run our Account-Based Marketing approach — the target lists, the tiering, the nurtures — and own the campaign schedule that gets it all out the door.

We're looking for technical ability with creative flair — the two aren't opposites, and this role needs a good dose of both. You'll make sure our thought leadership and content actually reaches the people it's meant for, not just published and hoped for. And you'll make sure our marketing tech stack is fit for purpose, properly used, and gives us everything we need to run a scalable, predictable, account-based approach to marketing.

This is very much a build-it-from-the-ground-up role, with plenty of room to grow and shape a team around you as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • MarTech & CRM ownership — own and continually build out our MarTech stack: HubSpot administration, workflows, integrations and data governance, the account tier structure (1–4), lifecycle stages and the lead scoring model.
  • ABM strategy & build — build and run our ABM approach: account selection and tiering, nurture sequences and campaign automations, and personalised journeys for target accounts.
  • Campaign scheduling & execution — own and run the campaign schedule for our owned channels (HubSpot email and nurture); for paid media, build and hand off the audience and targeting lists our performance agency uses to run Google, Bing, LinkedIn and Meta ads.
  • Lists, segmentation & lead routing — own ICP tagging, build and manage target contact lists, and distribute leads to Sales and SDRs.
  • Tooling, enrichment & automation — own Clay workflows — enrichment, intent monitoring and list building — and use HubSpot workflows to keep data clean and scored.
  • Data quality & governance — enforce data hygiene and governance standards across the CRM, and keep the data science team's inputs clean. Own GDPR compliance across marketing and CRM activity — data capture, consent and retention all done properly.
  • Reporting & attribution — own reporting and pipeline / revenue attribution back to the VP Marketing, across campaigns and channels, as the source of truth on what's actually working. Build out multi-touch attribution modelling so we know which touchpoints are actually driving pipeline, not just the first or last one.
  • Cross-functional partnership — brief the Design & Content team on what each campaign needs, and work with Sales, SDRs and Data Science to keep everything running as one motion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Deep, hands-on HubSpot expertise — admin, workflows, integrations, automation and reporting, and comfortable owning and evolving that stack over time.
  • A genuinely technical understanding of marketing systems and data — how tools connect, how data flows, how to troubleshoot when something breaks.
  • Comfortable working across Clay, Google, LinkedIn and Meta to build and hand off audience and targeting data — you won't run the paid campaigns day to day (our agency does that), but you'll own what goes into them.
  • ABM experience — building account lists, tiering logic and nurture journeys that actually run.
  • Data-literate — confident with reporting and attribution, and translating numbers into what to do next. Experience building multi-touch attribution models, not just single-touch reporting.
  • Comfortable using AI tools day to day — enrichment, list building, QA, reporting, first-pass workflow builds — to get more done as the function scales, not as a replacement for good judgement.
  • Solid understanding of GDPR and data compliance as it applies to marketing and CRM — consent, retention and data handling done properly, not as an afterthought.
  • Excellent attention to detail and process discipline — this role is the operational backbone everything else is built on.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working alongside a data science function.
  • SEO / AEO or wider paid media experience.
  • B2B background in data, risk, SaaS or financial/professional services.

Why Join

  • A market-leading product with a well-established business behind it, and real demand to work with — the opportunity to take it to market properly and shout about it.
  • Genuine autonomy to build and own this function your way, not a rigid playbook.
  • Manchester city centre office on Peter Street, with hybrid working.
  • Regular company socials, a great benefits package, and — yes — Greggs on a Thursday.
  • A fun, close-knit team that works hard and doesn't take itself too seriously.
