About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Marketing Operations Specialist to technically support our B2C & B2B communications and marketing campaigns. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone looking to build a career in marketing operations. You’ll assist in scheduling, testing and reporting on marketing and transactional emails. You’ll also gain hands-on experience with customer engagement tools, data segmentation, and campaign performance analysis. Being a part of the Octopus Group, there are a few things you should know…We don’t do things the traditional way. No agencies, no bureaucratic sign-off processes, and no unnecessary meetings. We have an incredible in-house team of marketers, developers, designers, product and commercial teams, and we all work together to create a product that transforms the e-mobility space.
What you'll do
- Get stuck into building and nurturing bespoke customer journeys across B2C, B2B, and OEM partner ecosystems in OneSignal - crafting multi-language emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and quick HTML tweaks.
- Rigorously test and QA every touchpoint across our international base to make sure every subject line, link, and layout delivers an outrageously good experience.
- Keep our ecosystem squeaky clean through smart segmentation, suppression management, and deliverability best practices to protect our domain health.
- Keep a pulse on what makes our audience tick, tracking key engagement metrics and turning performance insights into wins and new growth opportunities.
- Team up with Product, Design, Ops, and Marketing leads to ensure transactional messaging drops seamlessly and campaign journeys map straight back to our big growth ambitions.
- Be a true guardian (and passionate champion!) of the distinct, warm, and human Octopus Electroverse and Octopus Fleet tone of voice.
- Roll up your sleeves and jump into wider initiatives as we roll out Electroverse and Octopus Fleet into exciting new international markets!

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
