About the Role
Resolute Women’s Support Services is looking for a passionate and creative individual to support the development of our marketing, communications and community engagement.

How This Role Will Help Us
By joining us as a Marketing Volunteer, you will play a vital part in strengthening our charity’s ability to support women who have experienced domestic abuse. Your contribution will help us to:

Reach more women in need of support Your marketing work will help survivors find us at the moment they need help most, increasing access to EMDR therapy, holistic services, peer support, and advocacy.

Raise awareness of domestic abuse By creating impactful content and campaigns, you’ll help educate the community, challenge stigma, and increase understanding of the realities women face.

Grow our presence and credibility Consistent, professional marketing helps build trust, visibility, and recognition—making it easier for women, professionals, and partners to connect with us.

Increase donations and funding opportunities Better outreach means more people hear about our care packages, fundraising needs, and the real impact of our work, helping us raise vital funds.

Strengthen community connections Your outreach support will help us build relationships with local groups, schools, organisations, and potential partners.

Support the growth of our services As our charity expands, your marketing work ensures we can reach more survivors and provide meaningful, life-changing support.

What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and reliable volunteer who can help Resolute strengthen its profile, reach more people and communicate the impact of our work.
Ideal Skills and Experience
Ideally, you will have some experience in marketing, communications, social media, public relations, content creation or branding. This could come from employment, volunteering, studying or running your own projects. Experience within the charity, community or voluntary sector would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
Essential Skills
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to create clear, engaging and professional content.
- Confidence using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Creativity and the ability to develop ideas for campaigns, events and awareness-raising.
- An understanding of branding and how to maintain a consistent organisational voice.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
- Sensitivity when communicating about domestic abuse, trauma and the experiences of survivors.
- Reliability, commitment and a genuine desire to use your skills to make a positive difference.
Additional Skills
Experience with Canva, graphic design, photography, video content, email marketing, websites or digital advertising would also be very useful, although we do not expect one person to have every skill.

What Will You Be Doing?
As a Marketing Volunteer, you will play an important part in helping our charity reach more women affected by domestic abuse and raising awareness of the support we provide. Your role may include:
Social Media & Content Creation
- Creating posts for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other platforms
- Helping us grow our online presence and engagement
- Scheduling content and supporting campaigns
Branding & Design
- Designing simple graphics, posters, leaflets or digital content
- Supporting the consistent look and feel of the charity’s brand
Awareness & Campaign Support
- Assisting with awareness campaigns around domestic abuse
- Helping promote fundraising events, services, and community initiatives
- Sharing survivor stories (only with full consent)
Communications & Storytelling
- Writing short posts, updates, and community messages
- Helping us communicate the impact of our work
- Supporting newsletters or email updates
Outreach & Community Engagement
- Helping reach local groups, organisations, and networks
- Promoting our care packages, EMDR therapy offer, holistic services, and peer support

Skills
