Matrix exists to connect people to work. As a total workforce management provider, we help organisations find, manage and retain the talent they need - whether contingent, permanent, project-based or somewhere in between. Through our suite of solutions, we support every part of the workforce lifecycle, from workforce management, services procurement and direct sourcing and talent pools, to background screening, payroll and umbrella solutions. At the centre of our ecosystem is Matrix Prism®, our proprietary workforce management platform, connecting technology, data and operational expertise to give organisations greater visibility, control and confidence across complex workforce programmes.

We are looking for a Marketing Partner to own marketing for our workforce and procurement solutions offering, shaping how each is positioned in market, while making sure they stay clearly connected to the wider Matrix group.

Matrix Workforce is our vendor-neutral workforce management solution, helping public and private sector organisations manage contingent, flexible and blended workforces with full visibility, compliance confidence and supplier accountability.

Matrix Milestone is our outcome-based procurement and delivery solution, giving clients a compliant, fast route to a flexible supplier market through Statement of Work and milestone-linked payment - built for organisations who need measurable, accountable outcomes rather than just staffing.

Our benefits

  • We offer a flexible hybrid working approach. As Marketing Partner, you'll be expected to maintain a visible presence with key stakeholders and colleagues, attending meetings, customer events and company activities as required. Travel to our Milton Keynes and London offices as and when required.
  • Standard Pension – 3% Employers, 5% Employee
  • 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)
  • Birthday day off
  • 2 Volunteer days a year (to volunteer in the local community)
  • Employee Health Benefits (Westfield Health)
  • Online discounts platform for major retailers (Westfield Rewards)
  • Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme (Octopus EV) and Cycle 2 Work Scheme
  • Annual Team Connect Event - a chance to align, have fun and get inspired

The salary for this role is £50,000 - £60,000 per annum. We pay within this range based on the skills, experience and qualifications you bring relative to the role's requirements.

About the role

The world of work is changing quickly, and how organisations source, manage and pay for talent is changing with it. Matrix sits at the centre of that shift - and as the business grows, so does the ambition for how marketing supports it.

This is a newly created role, taking genuine strategic ownership of our growing workforce and procurement solutions offerings. You'll take the marketing strategies already agreed for Matrix Workforce and Matrix Milestone and turn them into a live, evolving programme of activity, working closely with each solution's MD and commercial team so marketing genuinely moves the business forward, not just produces content on request.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll report into the Group Head of Marketing, who holds overall strategic and commercial ownership of Matrix's marketing function - but this role is yours to lead. You'll own strategy and delivery for Workforce and Milestone, directing the partner network that makes it happen: a dedicated demand generation agency account team, a shared website agency partner, and an ad hoc creative partner network. Your job isn't to do everything yourself; it's to know the detail well enough to brief with confidence, direct their work, and call the right shots on time, budget and attention - backed by close support from the Group Head of Marketing when it counts.

If you're currently working at the executional end of marketing and ready to take ownership of strategy and outcomes for a defined part of a growing business, this is that step.

Duties and Responsibilities

Demand generation and digital marketing

You'll take direct ownership of the demand generation agency relationship for Matrix Workforce and Matrix Milestone, directing a dedicated account team within our demand generation agency partner. You'll shape and direct campaigns that build qualified pipeline for both solutions - across SEO, paid search and social, email and content - bringing a working knowledge of how these channels perform together, briefing the agency against clear commercial priorities, and using performance data to adjust activity as the picture changes throughout the year, rather than running a fixed plan regardless of results.

Supporting GTM & pipeline strategy

Matrix Workforce is also investing in a dedicated pipeline development capability, working closely with sales to build a stronger flow of qualified opportunity. Execution won't sit within your role, but close collaboration with it will - shared data, aligned campaign timing and joint account prioritisation mean demand generation activity and pipeline development reinforce each other rather than duplicate effort.

Brand, content and thought leadership

You'll lead a thought leadership programme with senior leaders across both solutions - executionally supported by our partner network, but yours to drive - turning genuine market expertise on workforce compliance, procurement reform, public sector spend and more into content that builds credibility with the professionals we sell to. You'll brief and quality-check content produced by agency and creative partners, and act as a guardian of Matrix's brand and tone of voice across everything that goes external, making sure each solution's identity stays distinct while remaining clearly connected to the wider Matrix group.

Client retention and advocacy

Working closely with the client relationship team, you'll support client retention through targeted content, communications and reporting for our most important accounts, and help organise a programme of client events that deepens those relationships further. You'll also build a growing library of case studies and testimonials that give prospective clients real, credible proof of what we deliver.

Cross-sell and commercial collaboration

Cross-sell is a broader group initiative, and marketing plays an active part in its success. You'll contribute where it touches Workforce and Milestone - using your growing knowledge of both solutions to create effective content and supporting materials that help other solution teams make the case for Workforce and Milestone opportunities within their own client relationships.

Reporting and commercial accountability

You'll own monthly reporting on Workforce and Milestone marketing's contribution to pipeline and revenue, using HubSpot to track performance and attribution, with support from the Group Head of Marketing. We're building marketing into a genuine growth engine for the business, and being able to show how your activity impacts pipeline and revenue - alongside strong creative execution - is key to that.

Required knowledge, skills, education and experience

  • Extensive knowledge of B2B marketing experience, ideally within recruitment, staffing, workforce solutions or a related sector, with a track record of moving from campaign execution toward genuine ownership of strategy delivery
  • Confidence managing external marketing and demand generation agency partners day to day: briefing them clearly, holding them to account against agreed KPIs, and directing account t-based or sector campaigns into named target accounts with demonstrable results
  • A working understanding of SEO and PPC - enough to brief, question and direct agency activity with confidence, even where execution sits with a partner
  • Experience with a CRM or marketing automation platform such as HubSpot, including segmentation, audience building and lead generation
  • Commercial fluency, and comfort being measured on pipeline and revenue contribution rather than activity alone
  • Strong written communication skills, able to write and edit thought leadership, web copy and sales-facing content to a professional standard, or to brief and quality-check content produced by others
  • Confidence acting as a brand guardian - protecting naming conventions, tone of voice and messaging consistency, particularly where a solution sits within a wider group brand
  • Comfortable working alongside a dedicated pipeline development function without formal authority over it - building a genuinely collaborative working relationship based on shared goals rather than reporting lines

Desirable

  • Procurement sector experience, beneficial but not essential
  • Experience marketing into public sector and/or regulated private B2B environments, where accuracy and evidence-led claims matter as much as creative execution
  • Experience running or contributing to a client event or community programme
  • Experience building a case study or client advocacy programme from scratch
  • A relevant marketing qualification is welcomed but not essential - we place more weight you as a person and the want to develop, learn and grow, as well as demonstratable commercial impact.
