Performance Marketing Manager
Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care and The Hearing Care Partnership
Hybrid Working | Support Office & Remote | Up to £52,000 per annum
At Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care and The Hearing Care Partnership, we're on a mission to help more people access exceptional eye and hearing care across the UK.
We're looking for an experienced Performance Marketing Manager to take ownership of our paid acquisition strategy and search visibility, ensuring we generate eye examination and free hearing assessment bookings efficiently and at scale.
This is a unique opportunity to join a business where performance marketing directly influences commercial growth. You'll be responsible for driving patient acquisition across both our established Leightons branch network and The Hearing Care Partnership, which operates through approximately 400 optical partner practices nationwide.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Performance Marketing Manager, you'll own the performance of our acquisition channels, ensuring marketing investment delivers sustainable growth and outstanding return.
Key responsibilities include:
Paid Media Strategy & Optimisation
- Manage and optimise paid search, paid social and local paid media campaigns
- Allocate budgets effectively across locations, channels and services
- Monitor performance against targets and make data-driven recommendations to maximise return on investment
- Drive booking growth while continually improving cost per acquisition
Search Visibility & Demand Generation
- Lead keyword and search intent strategy across eye care and hearing care services
- Improve non-brand organic visibility and increase organically generated bookings
- Work closely with our Marketing Technology team to prioritise technical SEO opportunities

Conversion Rate Optimisation
- Develop landing page and campaign briefs focused on improving conversion performance
- Collaborate on experimentation, attribution, tracking and CRO initiatives
- Build a strong test-and-learn culture that continually improves acquisition efficiency
Analytics & Insights
- Analyse performance across channels and challenge platform-reported results where appropriate
- Design and support incrementality testing to understand the true impact of marketing activity
- Produce meaningful reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Identify emerging opportunities, risks and areas for optimisation
Stakeholder & Agency Management
- Partner with Operations teams to align marketing activity with branch capacity and demand
- Manage external agency relationships where required
- Present clear and actionable performance insights to senior leaders
AI & Performance Marketing
The future of acquisition marketing is increasingly powered by automation and AI. We're looking for someone who embraces these tools while maintaining a healthy level of commercial scepticism.
You'll use AI to:
- Scale campaign and creative testing
- Support keyword and intent analysis
- Improve search visibility across traditional and AI-driven search experiences
- Leverage automated bidding and campaign technologies effectively
Most importantly, you'll know how to separate platform-reported success from genuine business impact.

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Hands-on management of paid search and paid social campaigns with accountability for cost per acquisition
- Experience managing budgets and optimising performance against commercial targets
- Strong understanding of GA4, conversion tracking and attribution
- Experience managing multi-site or local-market marketing campaigns
- Strong SEO knowledge, including keyword research, search intent and organic visibility strategies
- Experience working with AI-driven campaign formats and automated bidding tools
- Excellent analytical skills with the confidence to challenge data and identify meaningful insights
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
